195. Attention Early Adopters: Web 2.0 is our Friend! Here’s Why! May 25, 2022

The trends of early adoption cycles are something I never really bought into until recently as noticed the similarities as I look back on my career being an early adopter with the first international blackberry, beta testing apps on the original iPhone to launching shows on Google +, Meerkat and Blab.

I don't really like the phrase "we are all early" because what does that even mean as far as action...

I prefer saying we are all "just getting started" and with that just getting started framework we have to recognize that things are going to be far from perfect while also owning the fact that if we want to drive change and make things happen we have to push what's possible to prove what needs to be created. Web 2.0 has created many amazing things and in most cases we will need to leverage those things in combination with Web 3.0 solutions to drive true innovation, especially over the next 2-5 years. 190. NFT Collection IRL Event, Web 3.0 Style: Lessons From Veecon May 20, 2022

I've been lucky enough to make a career as a keynote speaker traveling around to conferences and events around the world and most recently attending a wide range of NFT industry events from NFT NYC to Miami NFT Week.

This week was my first "NFT Collection" event, Veecon for VeeFriends of course hosted by nonother than Gary Vaynerchuk. Although I'm a VF2 holder and been a big fan and aligned with Gary since 2014 I also knew this event was during a tough time in the NFT/Crypto space as well as in a world still dealing with covid so I will admit my expectations were low.

1 hour into I was blown away at the production level and the overall vibe of the vent.

But I wanted to make this episode actionable so I decided to take the angle of what we can learn from Veecon for other NFT projects to launch their own "NFT Project IRL event" and here are just a few things I covered:

188. Kim Henry & Eric Paré: 1 of 1 NFT Artist Success from Light-Painting to Dancer Photog Collaboration May 18, 2022

We’ve bought an NFT that’s in the mint phase every day for the last 6 months on our path to 365 days ending on 11.11.22. We minted on 15 blockchains with a wide variety of projects from pfp, music NFTS, fashion, gaming, P2E and of course one of one art. Yesterday's purchase for #Mint365 was this amazing light-painting by the powerful duo @ericparephoto & @kimhenry.dance This art is simply stunning but their story and experience as creators in Web 2.0 and now Web 3.0 is equally amazing. And you’re in luck as today's #NFT364 episode 188 is an interview @isocialfanz did with the two of them and it’s 55 minutes or amazing insights that will inspire you no matter what type of creator or artist you are.. Some highlights from the interview:

Started in the 360 studio, started playing with strobe lights, which moved to flash light, then eric went to make the first video with the tubes and it went viral. Next, they moved outdoors and that's when the pictures really started to take off. You have to be super quick to change the settings cameras and make sure your foot prints are not noticed in the shot.
They went from a small tiny studio to traveling the world taking pictures. One day they came up with the idea to use a tube that lights up, and if used the right way would leave an incredible light trace.
They have 8 people on the team doing camera work, making these tubes and creating the production.
Minted 9 images sold out within a week for their first launch, they have dropped 12 collections so far. Some with great success and others a slower burn. They’ve had a great time work with the Sloica platform with no issues.
Collaboration sounds exciting but it not as easy. But in the long run looking forward to it
