Welcome to the home of forgotten films. Each week, Joe Devine & Adam Richmond discuss a different film that they’ve seen before, but forgotten existed. They discuss cinema, memory, culture and history – as well as play silly games about cheese, budgets, and re-casting.
Listeners needn’t have seen the film, but are welcome to watch (or re-watch) before episodes for a different perspective. And at the end of each show, Adam & Joe read out forgotten film lists to each other, to find the film that becomes the focus for next week’s episode.

Dec 11, 2023
Show notes
Joe & Adam dive into James McTeigue's V For Vendetta from 2006, with a script from the Wachowskis. In this episode: What did Joe see through Adam's eyes? Is the author dead? What happens the day after the revolution? And there's new rules for the Box Office game. 23: Fury, WW2 films, The Brad Pitt Game
Dec 04, 2023
Show notes
Joe & Adam roam through David Ayer's underdog American World War II film Fury, and ask: why is everyone talking about barbie? What film feels 10 years old? And could Danny Dyer have his own The Whale? Plus they play the Bradley Pitt game and more. 22: Jumper, teleporting, blockbuster effort, stuck on a film set
Nov 27, 2023
Show notes
Joe and Adam dive into the world of jumpers, palladins and wildly inefficient filmmaking. Top of the pops is: is Mayonaise a liquid? How did Jamie Bell feel on the set of Jumper? And what's the deal with Doug Liman? 21: The Bourne Legacy, tampering with Bourne, and the nearly Renners
Nov 20, 2023
Show notes
Joe and Adam delve into The Bourne Legacy, Tony Gilroy's back-again Bourne spin-off, set during the events of the original trilogy. But does it live up to the hype for the Bourne Boys? Discussion also includes some Moby, the budget game, and a long journey to find next week's film. 20: The American, distracted by George Clooney, and European sensibilities
Nov 13, 2023
Show notes
Joe & Adam delve into The American, Anton Corbijn's low-key thriller from 2011. Never mind George, the film is gorgeous to look at, but Joe has all kinds of nitpicks, spanning such trivialities as the star-power of 'Clooney', to the very tone of the flick. Such downbeatery doesn't keep Adam down though, oh no, he loved it, and ponders who's the modern-day Clooney. 19: Sunshine, titans of sci-fi, and the third act fixed
Nov 06, 2023
Show notes
Joe and Adam discuss the 2007 sci-fi sort-of-horror film Sunshine, starring Cillian Murphy, Michelle Yeoh, Rose Byrne, Chris Evans and more. The pair dig into genre; what is a sci-fi? what is a space opera? what is a Star Wars? They also dabble in screenwriter Alex Garland's response to the film, and Joe comes up with a better ending. 18: Logan Lucky, Channing Tatum, and why Soderbergh is great
Oct 30, 2023
Show notes
Joe & Adam take this 2017 motion picture for a spin, but get waylaid by shushing in cinemas, the difficulty of recommending things to people and a sad tale about Adam not having a favourite animal. Cinema-wise, they do have a meaty chat about films they'd drop everything to go and see, which is nice. Send us your emails to moviesyouforgotyouforgot@gmail.com, any subject welcome, but naming what cheese is which director/actor would be best, also flagging up mistakes we’ve made, plus any suggestions for Movies We Forgot We Forgot are always welcome. 17: Melancholia, watchable Von Triers and heavy movie symbolism
Oct 23, 2023
Show notes
How could anyone forget such a striking film, let's find out. Joe & Adam ponder the meatloaf in 2011 flick Melancholia, they wonder about weddings and dabble with depression, and, as ever, stray far off topic. Send us your emails to moviesyouforgotyouforgot@gmail.com, any subject welcome, but naming what cheese is which director/actor would be best, also flagging up mistakes we’ve made, plus any suggestions for Movies We Forgot We Forgot are always welcome. 16: Mystic River, Clint Eastwood and the 2004 Oscars
Oct 16, 2023
Show notes
Joe & Adam dive head first into the 2003 adaptation of Dennis Lehane's novel Mystic River and ponder the journeyman status of Eastwood, not before they get waylaid by an apology to Bradley Cooper, and hugely sidetracked by a thick slice of Oscar chat.
