She has practiced midwifery in various settings over the past 11 years working in hospitals, birth centers and in women's homes. She cares for women from conception up until 2 weeks postpartum.

    Marley is also a widely recognized prenatal education instructor who shares lots of useful information on instagram through her cartoon drawings. Having delivered over 600 babies, Marley is an expert in childbirth and is passionate about helping women to have a positive birth experience no matter what type of birth they may have!

    In this episode, I do an extended Q&A taking questions that you guys have given me about C-sections!

    Here are the questions we go over!

    1. What are some reasons why a C-section is warranted?
    2. What can I expect when I go the hospital for my scheduled C-section?
    3. Can you still do skin-to-skin?
    4. Can you be awake in an emergency C-section if you haven't had an epidural/spinal block?
    5. How long after my C-section can I start massaging my scar?
    6. If you have an anterior placenta, how does the surgeon know where the placenta is before they cut?

    8. Do they cut through your old scar for repeat C-sections?

    Get Your Newborn To Sleep With Andrea! Nov 11, 2019

    In this episode, I dive into all things baby sleep with Andrea de la Torre!

    Here are the questions we go over!

    1. When should I start thinking about prepping for a newborn in regards to sleep? What sort of things should I do to prepare? Read books, take a class, talk to parents, etc?
    2. What are some common sleep cues a newborn will give me to let them know they are sleepy?
    3. Why do you do what you do?
    4. My baby seems to only want to sleep for 30-45 minute naps at a time…why do some babies sleep for 2-3 hours? Why won't my baby sleep longer?
    5. Cry it out makes me so nervous and I can't even think about "sleep training" my baby, but I really want to sleep! What do I do?
    6. My family seems to think I stress out too much about baby sleep but I can't stop. What should I do?
    7. When do babies start to sleep longer than 2-3 hours at a time? Mine is still waking up consistently through the night to breastfeed at 7 weeks.
    8. My baby sleeps great at night (6 hour stretches) but during the day his naps are awful. When will the day time sleep get better?
    9. How do you know when your baby is ready to start giving up naps? How do you even do that?
