Momentum for the Entrepreneurial Personality Type (EPT)

The Momentum Podcast is for those who of us who think differently — made especially for empire builders, game-changers, trailblazers, record makers, and creators of all kinds. Those among us who can’t turn it off, and don’t know why anyone would want to. We challenge complacency, destroy apathy, and we are obsessed with creating momentum.

While the rest of the world strives for average and clings desperately to the status quo, you and I are compelled to move forward and change the world.

We are the minority, the few, who are willing to hallucinate there could be a better future. Instead of just daydreaming of what could be, we endure the vulnerability and exposure it takes to make it real. We are the evolutionary hunters. The most important people in the world because entrepreneurs are the only source of consistent, positive human evolution, and we always will be.

325 - Maximizing the Investment in your Team Sep 21, 2018
    Show notes

As a business owner, it's always our goal to have the biggest impact, the biggest influence, the biggest effect we possibly can on our clients. Dwight Pecora runs a dental practice where they were doing exactly that. However, they ran into a massive brick wall when they were trying to grow and scale their business. It takes a motivated, visionary entrepreneur to create the extreme growth discussed in this podcast and Dwight Pecora is just that!

324 - The Most Important System in your Busines Sep 20, 2018
    Show notes

Do you feel like you're always putting out the fire you just had, like you're always solving the problem that just went by? Until you put a strategic planning process into your business, this will always be the case. When you have a process and everyone in the organization knows exactly where they're going next you can't help but create massive momentum. Are you making the progress you want?

    323 - When Intuition Hurts You Sep 19, 2018
    Show notes

To be an entrepreneur takes creative thinking and intuition. Intuition is an incredible thing. But if you rely solely on your intuition to build your business rather than using process, you're going to come undone. In business the more we can commit to process the more consistent the outcomes will be. Maybe the next step for you to making the impact you know you're destined to make is to step away from intuition and into systematic, process-driven decision making.

322 - The Hack for Getting Help Sep 18, 2018
    Show notes

I've worked with entrepreneurs for over 20 years and one thing I can tell you is that you need systems in your life that will help you ask for help. We have a hard time seeing where we need help let alone reaching out and asking for it. It doesn't matter what you do, if you want to do it at the highest level you are capable of, you need to be able to take care of yourself.

    321 - Dealing With a Toxic Top Producer Sep 17, 2018
    Show notes

The toxic top producer will destroy your team faster than anybody else. When you have a top producing team member that's treating other people in a negative way and you don't stop it happening, you're telling your team firstly, it's acceptable behavior and, secondly, if you are a top performer it's okay to be a jerk. This will destroy trust amongst you and your team and rob you of momentum. You cannot leave a person in place who is working against you and your culture.

320 - From out of Business to Over Five Million Run Rate Sep 15, 2018
    Show notes

I've just finished an incredible day at the Billionaire Code Summit and I'm catching up with a client of mine, Brad Gibb. He's going to share with you why the systems we use make you a better leader but maybe not in the way you would expect.

    319 - The Waterfall Sep 14, 2018
    Show notes

It's the mark of an excellent organization when you know what you're doing, everyone on the team knows where they're going, and everyone feels that they play a part. When your team has clarity, it's crazy how fast they'll go. One of the tools we use to align teams is the Waterfall. It's a dynamic document that essentially acts as a 30-day strategic plan. It ensures you maintain momentum and gives you clear direction. The Waterfall is the single most important document in my company and it may become the single most important in yours.

    318 - Break the Biggest Bottleneck Sep 13, 2018
    Show notes

To be a successful entrepreneur you need to figure out where your pinch points are. What is getting in your way and stopping you from moving forward? Ask yourself, do you have a strategic plan? Do you know where your company is going and what you're going to do next? Until you do, you have to accept the fact that you are purposefully your company's biggest bottleneck.

    317 - Why we Sabotage Success Sep 12, 2018
    Show notes

It's debilitating for me when I start watching an entrepreneur make bad decisions and sabotaging themselves and their team. When you're overwhelmed by an opportunity and you don't have clarity on where to go next you will sabotage that opportunity because it only feels like pain. Consciously or unconsciously, you sabotage the opportunity in a protective way. If you don't have clarity, strategy & process, eventually you'll come undone. Are you stuck in a sabotage loop?

    316 - Who to Hire First Sep 11, 2018
    Show notes

The first person you should hire is the person who will make life easier for you. As entrepreneurs we rarely ask for help, we hire people to work around us but we don't hire anyone to help us directly. The way you end up building a team so you can get leverage is by first finding someone who's going to take the pressure off of you. Every visionary, strategic thinker needs someone to help them get things done.
