Show notes

This week, we follow up on our spoiler review of Avengers: Endgame with even more insight and analysis of the practically perfect finale to The Infinity Saga. Iron Man, Captain America, Black Widow, Thor, Hulk, and Hawkeye all got their due, as did the fans who've followed these characters for the past several years. As other series and franchises have struggled to gain positive consensus for their concluding chapters, Marvel Studios' achievement with Endgame is all the more impressive.

#122 Thanos is in the Endgame now Apr 23, 2019

Show notes

Last year, we walked down the Road to Infinity War. This year, we've been examining the journeys of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's biggest heroes to see what their respective futures hold in Avengers: Endgame and beyond. We conclude that series with the only villain to ever defeat Earth's Mightiest Heroes (and the Guardians of the Galaxy and other friends)! Thanos is in the Endgame now!

#121 Captain America is in the Endgame now Apr 20, 2019

Show notes

The man out of time is in the Endgame now! Steve Rogers, just a kid from Brooklyn, seemingly died as the heroic Captain America in World War II, only to awaken decades later in a world changed. Our dear Cap, however, has (mostly) remained true to himself while his uncompromising moral compass saved the planet in every battle, except his last one. We trace (formerly skinny) Steve's entire journey through the Marvel Cinematic Universe before sharing our expectations for what may very well be the last time we see him in Avengers: Endgame!

#120 Black Panther, Okoye, and Shuri are in the Endgame now Apr 18, 2019

Show notes

We resume our sequel to last year’s Road to Infinity War series by putting three of Wakanda's most popular heroes in the Endgame! T'Challa (Chadwick Boseman) and Shuri (Letitia Wright) quickly gained the favor of audiences around the world, only for it all to go to dust in Avengers: Infinity War. Now, Okoye (Danai Gurira) may have to decide between continuing to fight alongside The Avengers, or help lead a nation that has lost its King and Princess. We don't expect Avengers: Endgame to be the last we see of any of these characters, but they could be dealing with the fallout of these Avengers films in Black Panther 2 and beyond!

#119 Captain Marvel, Ant-Man, and the Wasp are in the Endgame now Apr 17, 2019

Show notes

We resume our sequel to last year’s Road to Infinity War series by putting some relatively new recruits in the Endgame! Carol Danvers (Brie Larson) is only just getting started while Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) goes from one-time role-player to full-fledged Avenger! Hope van Dyne (Evangeline Lilly) has been interrupted in her superhero rookie season, but will be back and better than ever when the dust settles. The future is bright for these characters in and after Avengers: Endgame, though if there's a shocking death in the film, we're betting it comes from this trio.
