Tyler and Jeph bring in Chris from Veil Solutions to discuss some of the training drills hes been conducting on his social media. Chris, owner of Veil Solutions, Kydex and firearms instructions has been in the industry for over 12 years but clearly you can see he is humble and interested in learning, hearing new ideas, and testing those ideas on the firing line. Great conversation with many topics covered, an L9 Mfg rifle that appears to be the TOP SHIT when it comes to reliable accurate gas gun systems.

Is this the ULTIMATE TRADESMAN Rifle? Aug 31, 2023

Show notes

Send us Fan Mail

An episode of epic magnitude! Continuing where they left off last week, Jeph and Tyler continue discussing the ultimate rifle build which Jeph has dubbed "Tradesman Rifle". From the Action, Trigger, Stock / Chassis, and Bipod, these two see eye to eye on some, and split in different directions on others! With the current configuration, this may just be a game changing rig. Can it hunt and win matches? It would be capable but still gotta be a shooter or all else is moot.

Jeph driving the episode today with questions for Tyler regarding the "Perfect" rifle build. Perfect can mean many things. For Jeph, he wants us to build a hypothetical rifle that is PERFECT to accomplish your needs for Hunting & Competing. Caliber. Barrel. Optics. Triggers. Chassis. A lot goes into this in regards to considering what is important in both arenas.

A way and.. THE way you should engage movers. Aug 20, 2023

Show notes

Send us Fan Mail

Covering a few topics this weekend! LOP adjustment on the fly? WTF? Good method or another gimmick to cover up bad marksmanship fundamentals? Engaging movers... from Lead Edge? Are you effing mad?! The argument against using lead edge. Why its not a method you should add to your tool box and avoid those who still teach this. Once again, just us being us, telling it how it is and holding nothing back. Sorry MDT, your chassis systems are definitely above average, but damn youre training tips are far below the standard.

Show notes

Tyler and Jeph bringing the real this week with discussions on does your training target or training plan fit the purpose of the training? Will the end state be achieved? Are there any negative side effects to the training? Training Scars? These are important questions to ask yourself or your instructor. They should already know the answer, but lets be honest a majority dont. To begin the episode Tyler talks about his diet for the upcoming Sniper Adventure Challenge, how his workouts have changed and adjusted. Tomato... Tomato. Constructive Criticism Aug 10, 2023

Show notes

Send us Fan Mail

THE SNIPER TARGET. Maui. Establishing habits for dialing. Videos being put out by MDT PRO's that seem more click bate. A solid episode where Jeph is in disagreement with Tyler and is trying ever so hard to change his mind.
After a week of discussions, research, theorizing, and ultimately deciding on what the goals are, what is the purpose of the drill? How tight of a standard are we wanting to hold? There was quite alot of feedback regarding our target. DM's, Emails, Jephs friend, people reaching out discussing the Cranial Vault, why that should be the standard. Based off of a good theory and one man with a doctor on his side saying "This is the way". So we took it all in. And now we present it to you. Lay it at your feet and allow you to decide. The target was modified to find a middle ground between both sides of the road. But ultimately there are certain things Tyler will not allow to be set aside as a lower priority skillset, which is the ability to accurate and precisely place a shot where the sniper wants.

Stem Cells, TRT program, Typhoons, what more could you ask for?! Tyler and Jeph dig into the Sniper MOD Qual & Precisionier Target, execution, changes, etc. Discussing the "Cranial Vault" and why the target was designed for between the eyes and nose versus the forehead like its assumed is an immediate incapacitation shot. Training never ends and neither does working on ways to improve. Hitting the wave tops of target analysis and what your impacts mean related to your position and fundamentals. These arent new ideas, they just not heavily preached as they should be.
