    Mastermind Parenting Podcast

Welcome to Randi Rubenstein’s Mastermind Parenting Podcast. So, the big question is this – How do parents like us know that we aren’t messing up the biggest role of our lives, especially when we happen to have a strong-willed kiddo that is constantly pushing our buttons? We’ve all heard that kids don’t come with a manual, so how can we know for sure that we are saying the right things or that we’re getting this parenting thing right. On this podcast for parents of toddlers to teens, we’ll be giving you real tools you can use right away so that your kids will feel like they can talk to you about absolutely anything and everything. At Mastermind Parenting, we believe when your thoughts grow, the conversations in your home flow. This podcast will help you make a crucial shift in your home from the old lecturing style to convos that feel collaborative, connecting and most importantly…PRODUCTIVE.

MMP71: Mastermind Mascot: Old School Parenting...Don’t Throw the Baby Out with the Bathwater Jul 16, 2019
    Show notes

Happy Summer! Most of us want our kids to have good manners. We want them to grow up to be responsible citizens of the world. We want them to NOT embarrass us in front of grandparents. I consider these old school basics. Unfortunately, many of the old school values were taught in a way that ended up shaming, berating and belittling kids. So how do we support our kiddos in learning all the “things"? I believe it’s a dance that combines these old school values with new age methods that don’t mutilate their spirit. In the coming weeks, I’ll be covering the Mastermind Parenting choreography to effectively accomplish this. I’ll be discussing a few touchy subjects we don’t normally talk about. Like how to handle potty talk, penis and vagina touching and whether to force or not to force grandparent affection. My message today is that when it comes to manners and some of the old school values, we wanna use common sense. Essentially, we don’t want to... “Throw the baby out with the bathwater” For more help, reach out to me for support: http://Randirubenstein.com/discovery

MMP69: Mastermind Mascot: Are you sick of doing EVERYTHING? Jul 02, 2019
    Show notes

Are you sick of reminding your kids about EVERYTHING?! You may even find yourself doing the "things" for them that you know they can do for themselves. And even though it feels sometimes like your life is not your own, you continue to do the "things" for them. Because you're tired. Tired of reminding. Tired of arguing. Tired of power struggling. Tired of them procrastinating. I mean just take a FREAKING bath already and get ready for bed. So you oversee and assist and it usually ends in a screaming match. This is not what you envisioned. This does NOT feel like a life filled with freedom and joy. In honor of July 4th... let freedom ring more often in your home.
