On episode 41, I spoke with Jeddy Azuma, men's mentor and fellow podcaster, of the Rising Man podcast. I find his voice particularly soulful and see him as someone who is full of aliveness in his path. I also find him to be consistently sharing poignant ideas on his podcast and instagram, and have been especially touched by his reflections on creating safety for women. I invited him on the show because I wanted to learn more about what men’s work is & discuss some philosophy around it like what are we talking about when we say masculine and what kind of impact men's work can create.
As a newly minted college grad and healthcare professional, Jeddy soon began to experience the pain of having no sense of higher purpose or meaning in his life. A life-changing run-in with the law and his own deep personal reflections sent him on a 3,000 mile journey across the country to discover meaning.
From silent meditations to fasting in the wilderness for 4 days and nights, Jeddy discovered the importance of men’s circles and Rites of Passage, and has since dedicated his life to providing these opportunities for other men seeking their purpose.
Jeddy is the creator of The Rising Man Movement, one of the founders of The Conscious Man Brotherhood (CMB) and Man Cave. He leads men on Rites of Passage journeys to initiate an entire generation of men and to mold the leaders of future generations.
He is a husband, father, martial artist, and mentor to men of all ages.

On episode 40, I had Becca Tarnas back on the show to discuss the planetary combinations of Mercury after we last discussed the planetary combinations of Venus. This episode is part two of our conversation where wel discuss Mercury’s combinations with Uranus, Neptune and Pluto. See the episode before this one (39) for Mercury's combinations to Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn!
Becca is a scholar, artist, and counseling astrologer, and an editor of Archai: The Journal of Archetypal Cosmology. She received her PhD in Philosophy and Religion at the California Institute of Integral Studies in San Francisco and her dissertation is titled The Back of Beyond: The Red Books of C.G. Jung and J.R.R. Tolkien.
Speaking with Becca and getting to otherwise interact with her work is a real pleasure one reason of which is that she combines such deep intellect and scholarship with the numinous and the mythic, which I feel becomes a doorway to making new connections about the magic of the world around us. Archetypes, after all, are everywhere. We explored Mercury as it expresses in people’s communication styles but also some of the esoteric qualities of Mercury like spell-casting, etymology, and “dead languages”.

On episode 37, I interviewed Kirah about her research on the astrology of the Millennial and Gen Z generations (astrologically we’re looking at Pluto in Scorpio and Pluto in Sagittarius) as well as how these generations interact with the older generations, or the generations that their parents are part of. This conversation gave me so much to think about and I think you’ll find it illuminating as well! Whether you are part of these generations or witnessing those who are, it’s so cool to get the perspective of how the outer planets correlate with generational themes. This astrological lens to perceive cultural trends creates a lot of insight.

On episode 34:
A few days ago I found a packet of papers in my closet, which were some notes I took to give a creative writing workshop called "Method Acting Writing", which was about fully getting into character to produce a work of writing. Basically, if the creative vision exceeds one's current identity, then a new identity has to be created. This is how we can step into doing or creating things we have never before. I repurposed some of the information from these notes to record this episode about the manifestation process in general, and how we can "get into character" to create things in our lives.

On episode 33, I had a conversation with Ari Moshe about harmonizing with our life path and the unfolding of time, how we relate with Source, and how to court life and ask for what we need and desire from life (as opposed to approaching life with a sense of control, or gripping). There was a theme in our conversation about humility and how we’re showing up for life when there’s a lot of information we simply don’t know - and how this can translate to holding curiosity and being in relationship with the mystery as it is unfolding.
Ari has a prayerful relationship with life that comes across as deep medicine in his words and sharing. Ari is a gifted astrologer, musician, teacher and counselor. I felt so much peace recording with him and hope you enjoy our conversation.
