Who Taught Women to Hate Their Bodies w/ Bradi Masci Aug 11, 2026
    Show notes

This week, Mal sits down with artist Bradi Masci, who recently included Mal in a series of nude paintings celebrating queer figures in culture.
Together, they unpack compulsory heterosexuality, the complicated relationship women are taught to have with their bodies, and how early we learn to look outside ourselves( especially to men) for approval. They explore how those messages shape everything from the way we see ourselves to the choices we make about our relationships, health, and lives.
Bradi also shares how art became a vehicle for unlearning those expectations, reclaiming her own gaze, and seeing the female body outside of the rules we’ve been handed.

A Family Full of Gays w/ Heather Shaw Aug 04, 2026
    Show notes

Heather Shaw joins Mal for a nostalgic conversation about growing up in a family where every sibling eventually came out as gay and the unique closeness that can bring. Together, they reminisce about the shows, campaigns, and cultural moments that shaped how they understood themselves, from Glee to NOH8, and what it meant to grow up seeing queerness reflected back at them. This episode is a fun and comedic reflection on how family, representation, and community influence the people we become.

Lesbian Summer Camp w/ Erin McGuire Jul 28, 2026
    Show notes

Today Mal sits with Erin McGuire who after being laid off from her government research job, took an unexpected leap, creating a summer camp at a château in the French countryside that has become a gathering place for women, with a large sapphic community at its heart. What started as a setback became an entirely new chapter built out of the love shown by the sapphic community.

We discuss the impact that the lesbian community has had on Erin’s life and dive into the real impact of government DEI rollbacks and how those policy changes directly affected Erin’s work, and why their consequences extend far beyond the work.
