65: ADV Demo Day Part 1 with Guest Brian Hunnicutt Nov 24, 2016
    Show notes

Part one of our ADV demo day also brings an ADV ringer to help us discuss the bikes and the ADV experience. Rich, Jon, and two of the Riders of Loud Pipes members Micah and Titus attended the ADV demo day at Motorcycles of Charlotte.

Before getting into show we like to wish everyone in the U.S. a Happy Thanksgiving and be safe while out Black Friday shopping.

Our special guest Brian Hunnicutt joins us for our ADV talk. Brian has a 2013 BMW R1200 GS and has taken his bike not just on-road and off-road, but also on the race track! Brian enjoys the BMW GS due to the boxer engine, low center of gravity, and all road aspects of the motorcycle.

64: LegUp Landin Gear with Pete Giarrusso and Fun with Race Car Audio Nov 20, 2016
    Show notes

In this exciting episode the guys have a special guest, cover some listener feedback, and have some fun with race car audio to support Rich's comment about the sound of the Ford GT race car. The guys also welcome Steve and Tytis as two new members to the Riders of Loud Pipes! and thank them for their support.

Also, it's contest time, see bottom of this post for details

    LegUp Landin Gear

    • The guys sit down and chat with Pete Giarrusso from Pete G's Chopper Design Services.
    • The LegUp Landin Gear system
    • Interview partly inspired by listener feedback. Thomas writes that he was having trouble holding up his Electra Glide at low speeds and while he is considering a trike, was looking for alternatives. He is also looking at Spyder's after hearing of Jon's enjoyment of his RSS.

Harley has new bike - Street Bob

    U-Turn:

    • Feedback from Walter that we started to talk about IMSA. He also mentioned that this could be the last year of Corvettes and that Cadillac would be entering next year on as new platform for GM. We have found some non-official information around Cadillac is going Prototype racing in 2017, but no information on the Corvette C7.R going anywhere. Check here for some 2017 silly season update for IMSA racing.
    • We play race car sounds from inside the cars courtesy of the Marshall Pruett podcast and discuss which ones we think sound best
      • Ep62 - Ford GT at COTA - 3.5 liter twin turbo V-6
      • EP63 - Dodge Viper GT3 - 8.3 liter V-10
      • EP66 - Aston Martin 6.0 liter V-12 Vantage GT3

      • EP61 - Corvette C7.R - 5.5 Liter V-8
      • Bonus #1: EP50
      • Bonus #2: EP54
    • Be sure to also subscribe to The Marshall Pruett Podcast on iTunes and/or Podbean.

    Head Over to the garage:

    • Rich has been looking into what it will take to R6 on to the track and shares what he has found in regard to gear.

    63: EICMA 2016 Nov 11, 2016
    Show notes

In this latest installment of the Loud Pipes! Motorcycle Podcast the guys talk about motorcycles from the EICMA show in Milan Italy. There were so many motorcycles revealed at EICMA that we only picked a few that we feel are the most interesting.

Before getting down to business - we would like to take a moment to thank all the veterans that have served our country over the past 240 years.

Quick Store update - we had a request for hi-viz shirts, so we had our graphic department work on the request and now have orange and green short/long sleeve shirts. Also the logo was changed from white/red to gray/black. So please check out the LoudPipes store.
