Will Joe Tsai break the bank for Brooklyn? Some signs point to no May 03, 2022
    Show notes

A recent article from the NY Post concerning Nets owner Joe Tsai and losses sustained by his company this year have shed some pall over what could come this off season where it concerns the team’s spending. Could the Nets be going into saving mode even though they are championship contenders? There’s at least some reason to suspect that’s going to be the case where Tsai is concerned. What does that mean for Kyrie Irving’s contract? What about potential free agents? And what happens with Bruce Brown and Nic Claxton? There are quite a few questions and the financial piece of the team could play an impact on this upcoming season.

Nets season is over. Swept by Celtics. What's ahead for Kevin Durant and company? Apr 26, 2022
    Show notes

The Nets became the first team to get bounced out of the playoffs with the Celtics sweeping Brooklyn 4-0 in the first round. In what will go down as one of the craziest and most disappointing seasons of all time, the Nets couldn’t muster a win in the series. Kevin Durant turned things on in this one, dropping 39 points on 13-31 shooting, but they weren’t able to get enough out of the rest of the squad and Boston was able to stave off a late-game charge by Brooklyn.

The Locked on Nets guys begin the off-season by talking about the game, the performances from Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, some things that looked different this game, and much more.

Series over? Nets lose Game 3, stars struggle and the season is on the brink Apr 25, 2022
    Show notes

The Nets lost Game 3 to the Boston Celtics and now face an elimination game to avoid being swept. It was another frustrating game from Kevin Durant who finished with just 16 points on 6-11 shooting. His time has been made incredibly difficult in this series and this last game was just more of the same. And Kyrie Irving couldn’t really get it going either, putting in 16 points of his own on 6-17 from the field. The guys discuss the performances from the Nets two stars and why it’s been so problematic.

Then they talk adjustments or lack thereof from this team what it means to be at such a tactical disadvantage against Boston. And finally, there’s an update on Ben Simmons with the news that he would not be playing in Game 4.

Can the Nets come back in this series? With Matt Brooks of Nets Daily Part 1 Apr 22, 2022
    Show notes

The Locked on Nets guys, Adam Armbrecht and Doug Norrie, get on a crossover podcast with Matt Brooks of Nets Daily and the Clear Out Podcast. They get into the first two games of the series and why the Nets find themselves down 2-0 to the Boston Celtics. Things start off with Kevin Durant and his struggles through the first two games with the Celtics making things very difficult on the Nets’ superstar. There’s a discussion about strategy and what Boston has done tactically to wreak havoc on the defensive end. They also get into the play of Kyrie Irving as well, and how he failed to get much of anything going in Game 2. This is Part 1 of 2 with plenty of discussion about how things have been going so far and what Brooklyn will need to do to right the ship in the next two games.

Is Kevin Durant ok? Was Kyrie Irving even there? Nets lose Game 2 to Celtics Apr 21, 2022
    Show notes

The Nets lost Game 2 to the Boston Celtics in a frustrating game that left a lot of questions on the table for Brooklyn. Kevin Durant really struggled again, going 4-17 from the field and turning the ball over six times in his 42 minutes. And then there was a borderline no-show game from Kyrie Irving who scored only 10 points total in his 41 minutes on the court. In fact, in some ways, the only reason this was even close, in the end, was because the Nets got a great performance from Goran Dragic off the bench and Bruce Brown early. Again, it was a frustrating experience for Nets fans and now things head back to Brooklyn for Game 3?
