Los Angeles Chargers Depth Chart Reaction: Rookies Buried and John Hightower Moving Up Quickly Aug 09, 2023

Show notes

The first unofficial depth chart from the Chargers has been released and there are several players that have a great chance to move up the ranks. The rookies are buried deep early and will have to earn it in the preseason, while WR John Hightower is already showing he should be much higher. Dan and David break down the Los Angeles depth chart and discuss why they think that Hightower has gone from roster long shot to a borderline favorite to make the roster. The guys also get into an anonymous NFL executive taking a shot at head coach Brandon Staley saying he's a "Really bad coach with a great roster." Is there any merit to the claim?

Los Angeles Chargers Training Camp Day 6: Defense Wins the Day, the Best Camp Battle Emerges Aug 03, 2023

Show notes

Chargers Training Camp has been battle so far with both sides trading blows but it was Brandon Staley's defense that dominated on Day 6. Asante Samuel Jr. was the biggest winner from Wednesday, and his battle with Ja'Sir Taylor has turned into training camps most interesting battle. Staley thinks the Chargers run defense has improved in camp already, but hosts Dan and David remain only cautiously optimistic. Linebacker Kenneth Murray's strong play has made it harder to doubt the defense's improvements, but only so much can be learned at this point. Wednesdays practice also brought significant movement in the kicker battle with Cameron Dicker starting to pull away after a perfect day.

Los Angeles Chargers Training Camp Day Two: Brandon Staley's Defense Punches Back Jul 28, 2023

Show notes

While the defense had their moments, Kellen Moore and Justin Herbert were still very aggressive pushing the ball down the field.
