Set in 622 A.D. during the decades-long war between the Persian and Eastern Roman empires, The Gardens of Byzantium offers a unique backdrop for a tragic love story.
The main characters, Asana and Antonius, are on opposing sides of the war, which began before Asana was even born. Her entire life has been one of turmoil and change. Every year found her uprooted and brought to another foreign land to live an austere life in a garrison with her father, an officer in the Persian Army. But the middle of a war is no place for such a gentle soul.
Before long, she is swept away from her family and forced to flee on the back of her beloved horse. Fate leads her into the hands of a handsome and mysterious Roman soldier named Antonius who sequesters her in a beautiful palace in the heart of Constantinople, the capital of the Byzantine empire.
Asana begins to fall for him, and at last it seems as though she may have found an oasis of happiness in her war-torn world. That is, until news of a Persian army marching toward the city upends her life again, setting in motion an unstoppable chain of events that bring the story to its breathtaking and tragic conclusion.

Hello…I’m Sabrina
I am a wife and mother of 4 and I just recently gained a beautiful new daughter. I chose to step away from working full time as a teacher in order to be home more with my family. As someone who has walked through a lot in my life, I believe we all have our own transformation story and when shared, it can provide hope and encouragement to others.
My journey to podcast booking began with one prayer.
Robyn was a woman who I went to church with. A woman that I only knew from a distance, so I wasn’t sure why the Lord had told me to pray for her. As I would pray, the Lord began to give me a supernatural love for her. My relationship with Robyn grew as I sent her my love and prayers. From there, the Lord said to start praying for her business. Through my prayers and our relationship, I learned that she had an incredible testimony and message that I believed others needed to hear. I approached Robyn about helping her share her testimony and she quickly responded by saying that the lord had already told her she was supposed to speak to many.
From there, the Lord has sent more women that I’m honored to partner with and their stories and journey’s continue to grow. How exciting it would be to add your story to that journey!

Angela R. Hughes is a historical fantasy author based in Waco, Texas. It has been her ambition to write stories that grip and inspire the readers, alluring them into myth and legend.
Angela believes in the power of storytelling, as dynamic and inspiring tales have been told for thousands of years. She has always been inspired by mythologies and legends of the hero’s quest, and has always loved the idea of creating her own. She has been particularly drawn to Arthurian legend, and its ancient roots that spanned into the Cymru world. She has studied Arthurian legend, as well as Celtic Mythology. While living in Ireland, she fell in love with the history and landscapes of England, Ireland, Wales, and Scotland.
The Once and Future Chronicles, Book One: Elanor and the Song of the Bard is her first published novel. The first of many. Soon to follow: Book Two: Merlin and the Magic of Time, and Book Three: Arthur and the Golden Dragon.
In addition to writing, Angela enjoys painting, inspiring others, being with her family, chatting with fellow nerds over coffee, baking, visiting wineries, and traveling.

Wayne McDaniel is a grandfather of two. He and his wife, Jude, live in a beautiful log house in Lawrence Kansas, along with their dog Trek. He loves to bicycle and hike. Wayne says, “A day in the mountains is worth a thousand days in the office!”

Wayne has travelled all over the world, including Iceland, Italy, India, Kyrgyzstan, China, Australia, Mexico and Central America. He is very grateful his company was able to adopt two villages in India, bringing hope and opportunity to thousands of rural people.

Wayne is a seeker of truth and lover of the Great Light, as he is loved greatly by the Great Light.

From his teenage years, Wayne has been interested in spiritual matters. He grew up in St. Louis, attended a Presbyterian church, met some Catholic charismatics, was baptized in the Spirit, went to Oral Roberts University and become deeply involved in his church as an adult. He always loved to study and read about theology.

However, he was never comfortable with many of the judgmental, dogmatic and exclusive perspectives of organized religion. Through ongoing study, he came to embrace a broader spiritual perspective, which sees God as Universal Love and Light and each person as an expression of that Light. Understanding scriptures through mystical eyes, he can see this truth within the Christian scriptures as well as many other religious traditions.

His mission in life is to help others increase their capacity to live and to give. He does this through his work and writings. His goal with this book is to help young children and their parents know the truth about how precious they are and how much they are loved.

We live in Sweet Bea, our short bus, and turn out both gourmet fare and easy, weeknight recipes from our tiny kitchen and 3-burner stove. The goal is to empower you to realize that cooking excellent food in a tiny kitchen is not only possible, but easy, and that the rewards are certainly worth the effort.
In the autumn of 2017, Andy left a career as a wildland firefighter in order to pursue his other passions of cooking, travel, and writing. Over the three years that followed, he met the love of his life, turned a retired short bus into a tiny home, and hit the road to see the world and share his love of cooking and delicious food with everyone he could find.
What you have here, The Buslife Kitchen, is the culmination of years of work and exploration. Through plenty of travel, many books, and countless hours in the kitchen, Andy taught himself about the foods of the world and how to prepare them. Christa Joy Spaeth is the founder of Christa Joy Ministries. It was in 2022 when Minnesota-based author Christa received a compelling message from God. In a prayer cabin called “Whisper,” He prompted her to write a seven-week devotional.
Since then, Christa’s eyes, heart, and ears were opened to more whispers, so that she may start fulfilling her new purpose of helping the hurting and share the love of Christ.
This blessed wife, mother of two, and businesswoman is passionate about living up to God’s plans for her every day. So much so that in 2022, she stepped down from her decades-long career as a Registered Dietitian at a large food manufacturing company to pursue the promptings of the Lord and encourage others in Christ.
