The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 332 – Raymond Holliwell & The Law of Forgiveness Feb 04, 2021
    Show notes

Today, I’m going to go through Law of Forgiveness based on Raymond Holliwell’s book, Working With The Law. The link between gratitude and forgiveness makes a tremendous amount of sense and today, and you’re going to see how this applies to your life.

In this episode, learn how forgiveness can:

      • Allow flow and growth to take place
      • Heal the physical body
      • Liberate sins and mistakes
      • Release thoughts of fear and guilt
      • Lift you from debt to abundance
      • And so much more …

Understanding and living based on the Law of Forgiveness is life-changing and forges a successful mindset that can carry you through even the most difficult times in your life. Forgiveness will bring forth the bigness of character life calls for, and through forgiveness lessons of life are learned. This poem sums it up perfectly…

    Forgive

That slight misdeed of yesterday, why should it mar today?
    The thing he said, the thing you did, have long since passed away;

For yesterday was but a trial; today you will succeed,
And from mistakes of yesterday will come some noble deed.

    Forgive yourself for thoughtlessness, do not condemn the past;
    For it is gone with its mistakes; their mem’ry cannot last;

Forget the failures and misdeeds, from such experience rise,
Why should you let your head be bowed, Lift up your heart and eyes!

    ~Selected

The Successful Mind Podcast – Inside Episode 331 – I Can’t Change the World But I Can Change Myself Feb 02, 2021
    Show notes

Today, David & BT go inside Episode 331 – I Can’t Change The World But I Can Change Myself. David dives deeper into the power of choice, how it affected his growth early on, and how attaining significant, lasting change is easier than you might think. He also talks about our current issues, why and avoiding judgement with the “I told you so” rhetoric is so important, and how being around toxic people will stunt your personal growth.

Through understanding and applying the Law of Polarity, a person is able to make huge changes in their current situation. For David, all those years ago, it boiled down to the simplest of things – changing his attitude. In doing so more opportunities presented themselves than ever before, allowing him to eventually start his own business and help others do the same. Had he not done that, and chose to do the internal work to break away from the machine, he admits he wouldn’t be here today. You have to change your thinking in order to get there, period.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 331 – I Can’t Change the World But I Can Change Myself Feb 01, 2021
    Show notes

Many people have an idea in their mind about the world changing to fit whatever narrative they have for themselves and how they believe the world should operate. I’ve listened to people present questions or statements and say that if this person would only do this or if that person would only do that the world would get better. Always looking outside oneself for change is not accurate thinking. Change is an inside job, and to make any sort of difference in the world it first has to start from within,

What I’ve begun to understand, now more than ever, is the sense of frustration facing our world today. If we could wave a magic wand and bring this back to a more calm place I’m sure most of us would not hesitate. That said, there is no Fairy Godmother waiting to save the day. This isn’t a fairy tale, this is real life.

That being said, even though most people aren’t able to exact huge changes in how the world thinks, we are able to make a difference in the way WE think. We can change ourselves and the way we experience the world, which I believe is something that’s very much overlooked in so many cases. But how?

After working with thousands upon thousands of people for the last several decades, mostly those who are dissatisfied with their current results, I have come to maintain that with the simple shift of seeing things differently all that you desire can be yours. In the beginning, there is a common starting point where most believe that change must come from those around you, outside of yourself. What most people don’t realize, and I can understand this quite well because there was a time in my life when I was in the same boat, is that each of us has the ability to change our own world by utilizing the greatest power of all. The ability to choose.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 330 – Movers & Shakers – Sloane – Daring Life Society Jan 28, 2021
    Show notes

Sloane is a former business attorney turned core belief consultant. Just a few years ago, she successfully scaled her boutique law firm in Santa Monica to over 400 happy clients while working 1,000 hours per year and traveling the world.

She attributes her firm’s success to delivering a superb client experience and being her client’s partner in business, not just a voice in legal expertise. Having been behind the scenes of hundreds of businesses – she had a unique vantage point to catch blind spots in profitability, operations, and her client’s mindset around it all.

After coaching hundreds of clients to help them through their toughest business challenges – Sloane sold her firm to pursue her heart’s calling. She is now a core belief consultant to ambitious women who are ready to expand beyond conventional possibilities and live fully while creating even more success in business.

In this Movers & Shakers episode, Sloane shares the years spent diligently laying the groundwork that lead her to retooling her consultant business to focus on women and empowering her clients to tap into their inner warrior. She also shares thoughts around the difference between men and women in terms of growing a business and how the current shift in the landscape is a promising one from an equality perspective. Working harder is not the answer, but having a clear goal, the passion to work towards it and the ability to push through when things become difficult inevitably leads to a more fulfilled life.

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 328 – David From The Stage: The First Principle Jan 25, 2021
    Show notes

I’m constantly being asked if there was one book that made a huge difference in my life. You may have heard me say that The Science of Getting Rich by Wallace Wattles is THAT BOOK.

Over the next two episodes, I’m going to take a deep dive into the most important chapters in a uniquely distinct progression. Today, I’m going to go over the chapter entitled The First Principle in the Science of Getting Rich.

    On this episode, you’ll learn:

    • Thought is the only power which can produce tangible riches from the formless substance
    • You have the ability to hold an idea and the ability to focus on something until you move it from thought to form
    • Everything in your life is in a constant state of motion and momentum – to get unstuck and to change, momentum must be broken
    • and much more …

Just wanting more money doesn’t make it happen. You need to think of the idea, put it in thought form, and then do everything needed to bring it about. You will bring ways and means for opportunity for riches to happen.

There IS a science to getting rich! Let’s get to it …

    The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 327 – Movers & Shakers – Jason Redman – Surviving Life’s Ambushes Jan 21, 2021
    Show notes

Jason Redman is a retired Navy lieutenant, best-selling author and sought-after personal/professional-development speaker and trainer. During his 21-year Navy career, LT Redman spent 11 years as an enlisted SEAL and nearly 10 years as a SEAL officer, where he was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor, the Purple Heart, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal, the Joint Service Achievement Medal, five Navy Achievement Medals, and two Combat Action Ribbons.

On September 13, 2007, while acting as Assault Force Commander on an operation to capture a high value Al Qaeda individual, LT Redman and his Assault Team came under heavy machine gun and small arms fire where he was severely wounded in the firefight. Despite being shot twice in the arm, once in the face, as well as taking multiple rounds to his helmet and body armor, LT Redman and his team fought valiantly ensuring that everyone came home alive. His career in the military ended that day, but his long road to overcoming his injuries was just beginning.

While recovering at Bethesda Naval Medical Center, LT Redman wrote and hung a bright orange sign on his door, which became a statement and symbol for wounded warriors everywhere. This sign gained national recognition and earned him and his family an invitation to meet President George W. Bush in the Oval Office. The original sign on the door, signed by the former President, now hangs in the Wounded Ward at the National Naval Medical Center Bethesda.

He is the author of a memoir titled The Trident: The Forging and Reforging of a Navy SEAL Officer as well as the recently released Overcome: Crush Adversity with the Leadership Techniques of America’s Toughest Warriors.

On today’s episode, LT Redman shares his love of country and how a small, self-described weakling went on to become a decorated Navy Seal through persistence, determination, and good old-fashioned hard work. He shares his Overcome mindset and how in one of the most difficult years ever faced we all came out of it better because we stared adversity and hardship in the eye and refused to succumb to being a victim. Once you take this in, you’ll understand that when life sends you an ambush it’s time to Get Off the X. Surviving Life’s Ambushes will be your new mantra!

The Successful Mind Podcast – Inside Episode 326 – Know Your Enemy Jan 19, 2021
    Show notes

Today, David & BT go inside Episode 326 – Know Your Enemy. David talks more about Earl Nightingale and his definition of success, the anger he dealt with when he was struggling making sales calls, and the exercise he went through to finally break through the fear of what others might think. He also shares the importance of surrounding yourself with people who support you and dumping those who try to hold you back.

When embarking on a journey of self-discovery it is important to know your enemy. One thing I’ve come to realize about success is that while it’s important to have something to shoot for, there’s always some level of resistance around leaving your comfort zone to go after it. When you realize the shame of the past no longer serves you and you make the decision to live a life with no regrets, the seeds of success are sown and will absolutely bear fruit through commitment and determination. It’s time to get to know your enemy. Make the decision, back it with desire and realize that you get one chance in this life so why not live it!

The Successful Mind Podcast – Episode 326 – Know Your Enemy Jan 18, 2021
    Show notes

Do you know the thing that’s working against you? The thing that’s making it difficult for you to achieve a certain level of success? If you aren’t quite sure what that thing might be then take solace in the fact that you’re not alone. The truth is that most people don’t understand what they’re up against, looking at their struggles from a victim place rather than taking ownership of their situation. You may have an idea that times are tough, that there are challenging moments that come up way too frequently, but not understanding the enemy at work will keep you from achieving the success you desire.

Earl Nightingale provided us with the best definition of success I have ever heard: “Success is the progressive realization of a worthy ideal.” In other words, if you’re progressively going after a worthy ideal and realizing that each and every day, you’re already a successful person. You’re successful because you’re aware that this journey has no final destination – if it did you’d reach it and be done. You don’t want to be done growing do you? The Universe is about more life, and if you’re not growing you’re dying. The progression, also referred to as the journey, is what keeps you in a constant state of flow and growth.

The point is this. If you’re not getting the results you want in your life or your business then something must be that’s holding you back. That something is your “enemy” and identifying what it is only half the battle. Just know you weren’t born with it, you were given it, and now is the time to give it back. This thing is the real enemy of success. The enemy of individuality. The enemy of expressing yourself as the beautiful person that you are in every area of your life. It’s time to make the decision that you are no longer going to stifle that side of yourself that is destined for success. To do that you have to truly understand who the enemy is. That’s where I come in. It’s time to get down to brass tax and know your enemy.
