    LIAM 339 – Which “I AM” are You? May 01, 2017
    Show notes

Very often, we find ourselves in conversations in which we use "I am" statements. People ask us who we are and we respond with statements like: I am a dad; I am a life and executive coach; I am a podcaster; I am a marathon runner; etc. These "I am" statements are descriptions of the roles we play in our physical bodies. They can actually be who we are if we live in an "I am" state of consciousness that is attached to our physical roles and this physical world. What we really are, however, is Spirit. We are Spiritual beings having a physical experience. If we shift our state of consciousness, our "I AM" focus, to our Spiritual entity, it completely changes how we see and interact with the physical world. LIAM 338 – Be a Lover of Truth Apr 25, 2017
    Show notes

Do you love the truth? Think carefully before you answer. Many people don't want to know the truth. What they want is to know that what they already believe is the truth. There's a big difference! Truth is always peaceful. Truth is not dependent on anyone believing it or not. It does not justify, plead, beg, or try to convince you to believe it. It just is. Lies, however, die if you don't believe them. Lies beg, plead, want attention, offer detailed explanation, and try to convince. It takes a lot of work to keep a lie alive! I share with you how to know when someone is lying to you, and, more importantly, when you are lying to yourself. LIAM 337 – Success Principle: Intention Apr 23, 2017
    Show notes

Nobody accidentally becomes successful. Reaching your goals and living the life you want requires that you know what you want, why you want it, the ability to visualize that life, and the belief that it can be yours. Putting all of that together on a day-by-day, moment-by-moment basis is living intentionally. Live your life with intention, not just for your big goals/dreams, but for all of your daily tasks. Decide what you want to accomplish and how you want to feel when it is accomplished. When you learn how to do this for all of your daily activities, you'll truly discover the power of living intentionally! LIAM 336 – Success Principle: Responsibility Apr 18, 2017
    Show notes

As a parent to two boys, I want my sons to always take full responsibility for their actions. If they break something, I want them to simply say "yes, I broke that." No need to blame or make excuses, just claim responsibility. We all want this from everyone we interact with. The hardest person to teach responsibility to, however, is yourself! Blaming other people, governments, economies, etc. for who and what we are is easy, but it keeps us a prisoner to the actions of others. However, claiming full responsibility for my thoughts, actions, and how I have responded to events gives me great freedom to move forward to create the life I want. The more responsibility you claim for your life, the more power you have to change it! LIAM 335 – Success Principle: Adaptability Apr 13, 2017
    Show notes

Whether you like it or not, everything is in a constant state of change. Everything! You are not the same person you were last year, Mount Everest is not the same mountain it was last week. Situations, circumstances, relationships, finances, health, and governments change. If you want to succeed, you must be willing to adjust your mindset and behaviors appropriately. Adaptability, therefore, is a success principle you must embrace. LIAM 334 – 3 Years Ago, I Learned How to Live! Apr 10, 2017
    Show notes

3 years ago, this week, I was lying in a hospital bed trying not to die from the excruciating pain I was feeling. Spoiler Alert: I did not die! In fact, it was during that painful experience that I actually learned how to truly live. It was during that period that I learned just how powerful the human brain is and that we can, if we choose to, focus all of our attention on anything we want. Because of what I learned and my ability to continue to apply it to my present life, I would not got back and undo any of it. It was among the greatest gifts I've ever received. People often say "don't sweat the small stuff!" That, however, is a lie! You should sweat the small stuff because all of the big issues in life, good or bad, are made from little decisions made daily. Andy Andrews--bestselling author, speaker, and consultant for some of the world's most successful teams, largest corporations, and fastest-growing organizations--has written a new book, The Little Things, to explain to you, and to prove beyond a reasonable doubt why you really should sweat the small stuff! LIAM 332 – Success Principle: Winsomeness Apr 03, 2017
    Show notes

In 1936, Dale Carnegie published "How to Win Friends and Influence People." This book continues to be a bestseller and has contributed to the success of countless people. At the core of his book is character quality of winsomeness. Being likable, charming, friendly, and genuinely concerned about the welfare of others is crucial to your success. Why? Because your success, personally and professionally, will largely be determined by the number and quality of relationships you have with other people. Learn how to "win some" by having the character trait of winsomeness. Listen as I explain: Listen on iTunes or Listen to/download this episode here: Love the show? Click here to Tweet a shoutout! LIAM 331 – Success Principle: Eliminate Competition Mar 28, 2017
    Show notes

It seems logical enough that the best way to succeed in life is to eliminate competition, right? Right! Eliminating competition is the best way to succeed! However, I do not mean eliminating the competition, as in some other person or company. What I'm talking about in this episode is eliminating the competitive mindset from your mind. Success gained through competition never lasts and may be taken away from you by competition. Success, however, gained through the creative process is permanent. Use your mind and willpower to create the life you want. Through creation, you create more life for yourself and for those around you. LIAM 330 – Success Principle: An Endurance Mindset Mar 26, 2017
    Show notes

I love all of the technology we have now that enables us to communicate with each other and have access to information faster than ever before. However, this instant access has a downside. It has created an instant-gratification, I-want-it-now mindset. Real life, real success, however, must go through a natural growth process. If our mindset is out of sync with this natural process, it leads to frustration; it causes us to give up and try something new before we gave ourselves the chance to see what we could create had we given ourselves more time. A foundational success principle, therefore, is having an "endurance" or a "life is a marathon" mindset! Listen as I explain: Listen on iTunes or Listen to/download this episode here: Love the show?
