Renata Glasc Feb 14, 2023

Show notes

Renata is refreshing on many levels, and we were extremely thrilled to get the Chem-Baroness of our dreams. Mostly Rebecca's dreams, who makes her feelings about Renata very well known. Verrryyyy well known. Maybe too well known.

Rell Feb 06, 2023

Show notes

Let's not say the P word, but also we have to in this case. The Iron Maiden has oodles of potential that Riot unfortunately didn't feel like utilizing. Also pair Rell with just about anyone in Noxus, and I think you'll have gold. Or more iron.

Rek'Sai Jan 30, 2023

Show notes

The Void Burrower has about as much lore as any other void champ. Okay, that's not fair. More than Cho'Gath, but less than Bel'Veth, but let's face it, having more lore than Cho'Gath isn't exactly an accomplishment. But do you know what is an accomplishment? Having one more word in your bio than Heimerdinger. You go, girl.

K'Sante Jan 23, 2023

Show notes

The Pride of Nazumah perhaps didn't ditch his pride as much as Riot thinks, but he's still a champ with some REAAAAL GREAT POTENTIAL. Classic. There's a lot of fun stuff here though, and we hope the lore team at Riot Games brings K'Sante into a lot of the drama going on in Shurima. Because there's a lot of drama there, y'all.

Rammus Jan 16, 2023

Show notes

The Armordillo (sigh) is truly the epitome of everything we like to make fun of Riot for. SOME SAY he's a god and SOME SAY he's a creature and WE SAY we have no idea. But he's cute! Sooo that's something, yeah? Okay. All right. Yehhh.

Rakan (And Xayah) Jan 09, 2023

Show notes

You can't have one without the other, so this week we're talking about two champions! The Charmer and The Rebel have their disagreements, but overall Rakan and Xayah are a wonderful pair who work together to defeat Shadow Nerds and protect Ionia. Also I think this is the first time we didn't talk about Rise of the Sentinels in...so long. I'm very proud of us.

Thanks so much for joining us, Lack!

Quinn Jan 02, 2023

Show notes

Quinn (and Valor) have a pretty generic D&D-like tragedy going on, but it was still nice to see a Demacian with at least a little understanding of nuance here. With some old lore and a role in the Star Guardians, there's plenty to rattle on about. And rattle on we did!

Qiyana Dec 19, 2022

Show notes

We FINALLY get some insight into Ixtal, and it only took us to episode 105! There are a lot of neat ideas floating around this part of Runeterra, and it is laden with that dreaded word - potential. Unfortunately, Riot seems to have tried making up for the lack of Ixtali lore by putting about 300 pages worth of worldbuilding and magic-system-explanations into a single short story, with mixed results. Despite our misgivings, we ended up liking Qiyana's characterization, and were left wanting more of her and her home empire. Also, stick around for erotic gum commercials, Keanu Reeves puns, and vicious dirty laundry airing.

Pyke Dec 12, 2022

Show notes

Definitely Not Nautilus revenge sea boy! Okay, that's not his title. The Bloodharbor Ripper is violent and angry and has a big, bad list that never ends. Pyke is stuck in a bit of a loop, just like the Loreheads are stuck in a loop of out dated references our much younger audience doesn't get, including our guest this week. Thanks for hanging with us, Draasin!

Poppy Dec 05, 2022

Show notes

The Keeper of the Hammer not only looks cute, her story is cute too! At least what we found from the links that actually worked. Poor Poppy is another one that's been left behind by Riot Games, despite her update. Although her bio is certainly better than it was, this hero of Demacia doesn't show up in recent Demacia events very much. NOT TO BRING UP RISE OF THE SENTINELS AGAIN BUT HERE WE ARRRREEEE
