Revisit: Katarina/Nidalee/Bard May 01, 2023

Show notes

Someone at Riot Games must be listening to this podcast, because they answered so many questions we had about Katarina. With some fun Katarina/Garen stuff, answers about Jarvan III, and a note on what Talon's up to. Nidalee also has a small bio update (although no word on this apparent Neeko friendship), and Bard got a short story.

Sejuani Apr 24, 2023

Show notes

While Sejuani is clearly The Winter's Wrath, we're a little unsure just how wrathful this Warmother really is. She has a ton of lore, and so much of it is really great, but we need a little more consistency here. And please how big is Bristle? Is he a shed? A mammoth? We must know!

Samira Apr 17, 2023

Show notes

Samira doesn't have a ton of lore, but what's here is pretty fun. And it sure is nice to see a hero who doesn't have to watch her parents die to become her cool self! At lease we didn't have to talk about Rise of the Sentinels much this time.

Milio Apr 10, 2023

Show notes

Look at us, talking about The Gentle Flame right after his release! Milio brings a lot more light to Ixtal (GET IT?!) and we quite enjoyed Riot throwing his positive attitude in an incredibly dangerous and cruel place. Although it'll probably be a while before we see where Milio's story goes next, we have a solid start here.

Ryze Apr 03, 2023

Show notes

Here we all talk about our favorite purple guy The Rogue Mage, no wait the Ink Mage, no no no the RUNE Mage. Ryze has been around for a million years (LITERALLY AMIRIGHT), and he has gone through more lore reworks than maybe any other champion out there. Poor guy. One thing has never changed: The guy is very unpleasant.

Rumble Mar 20, 2023

Show notes

The Mechanized Menace. The Menaced Mech? The, uhhh, Menacing Menced Mechanic? (Is menace even a word anymore?) Anyway, Riot still has no idea what to do with their old yordles. Truly nothing in Rumble's lore could possibly be canon anymore, but at least the little guy has a personality, even if his 10 quotes are a billion years old.

Riven Mar 13, 2023

Show notes

We all know the tragic tale of Riven The Exile and her broken blade that...can be repaired? Can't be? Or is that people? Maybe it's that they shouldn't be repaired? Who knows! At least we know Riven has been dragged back to Noxus, a massive step in her story of self-exile. Surely she's still there, awaiting her her showdown with Noxus. Riot wouldn't just have her leave to go fight a ghost or something, right?

Ruination: A League of Legends Novel Mar 06, 2023

Show notes

Riot Games has released their first full length novel, and we had a love of thoughts and feelings about it. Some good, some bad, but mostly we'd like a full length novel featuring literally anyone except Viego.

Rengar Feb 27, 2023

Show notes

He's an older kitty with not much old lore. The Pridestalker has been pretty much the same since his release, stalking Kha'Zix and not really bothering with the world ending business of Runeterra. What's that? He's in Rise of the Sentinels? I don't recall this.

Renekton Feb 20, 2023

Show notes

We didn't learn anything new with The Butcher of the Sands, but it sure is fun to complain about Azir, isn't it? This crocodile has been in the game for so long, we had plenty of old lore and AU's to explore. Renekton with a hat? On fire? With an erring in his...ear???? What the heck?
