Nobody Confronted Uvalde Gunman Before Rampage May 27, 2022
    Show notes

Officials say the 18-year-old Uvalde gunman was “not confronted by anybody” as he entered Robb Elementary School before fatally shooting 19 children and two teachers. Questions are now being asked about whether protocol was followed during the incident, and scrutiny mounts over the police response as new details emerge. How was the shooter able to stay in the school for as long as an hour before law enforcement shot him dead?
The GOP's Sen. McConnell says he’s directed Sen. Cornyn of Texas to engage with the Democrats about a "bipartisan solution" on gun violence. That, as the NRA Annual Meeting is to go ahead as planned with the pro gun-lobbying organization saying the event will “reflect on” the Texas elementary school shooting. Trump-Pence Rift Widens On Eve of Georgia Primary May 24, 2022

The Trump-Pence rift widens as Georgia voters head to the polls and Pence campaigns for a Georgia Governor who wouldn’t help overturn the 2020 election. That, as in-person voting surges in the State, despite a controversial new voting law that critics feared would lead to a fall-off.
