Last year's starters may have forced Darvin Ham to play them more Jan 29, 2024
    Show notes

Anthony recaps one helluva sports weekend, which featured a double-overtime victory over the Warriors. In that game, last year's starters, you know, the guys who haven't been able to get consistent minutes this season, carried the team to victory. Darvin Ham was once again asked about that group and said a whole bunch of words that weren't "yeah, I should've been playing them more." Anthony discusses that, the latest trade intel, and how watching Dan Campbell screw up the NFC Championship made him think about what Ham might do in a big spot.

Sources: The Lakers are starting to look at other avenues beyond Dejounte Murray Jan 26, 2024

Four years to the day from his passing Anthony opens today's show looking back on that day and how he thinks of Kobe Bryant now. He then tries to segue from that to the latest trade rumors, as we got a new wrinkle reported by Jake Fischer and Anthony heard some stuff right before the show. Then, he discusses what the Lakers' priorities are beyond their negotiations to bring in Dejounte Murray. The roster needs more help and they know it.

Lakers' win over Bulls perfectly summarizes this season; Trade deadline latest Jan 26, 2024
    Show notes

Anthony is joined by Raj Chipalu to break down that win, which should've felt much better only it slipped all the way down almost to real nervous time before the Lakers recollected themselves. It was just such a perfect demonstration of everything fans and players have been frustrated with this year. All that, plus everything Anthony has heard heading into a big trade deadline weekend.

Who would the Lakers be acquiring? How about the other solid role players on that roster? A ton of great info from a different perspective here.

Clippers beat Lakers; Bucks fire Adrian Griffin, maybe hire Doc Rivers; Terry Rozier is off the market Jan 24, 2024
    Show notes

Anthony recaps a predictable loss to the Clippers as the Lakers didn't have LeBron James. Even given the outcome being easy to predict, Darvin Ham's decisions were once again questionable and took away from the already slim margin for error. From there, he discussed the Bucks firing Adrian Griffin and marveled at Turner so thoroughly screwing up the news about his replacement. He then discusses the Terry Rozier trade and the impact a much faster-developing trade deadline has had on the Lakers and the league in general.

    Show notes

The Lakers had Terry Rozier on their radar. He is not longer on the market. What does that mean about this deadline moving forward in general and specifically for the Lakers? Is a move on the way? Before that, the guys react to Adrian Griffin's firing while Darvin Ham remains confidently employed. A ton of information in this one.

    Show notes

Anthony and Aaron discuss some of the vibes seen from the Lakers in what should've been a get-right win Sunday night. Yes, people can be making too much out of a coupe clips here and there, but that doesn't mean it's nothing, either. Then, the guys talk about the impact incessant trade rumors have on locker rooms and how the Lakers have been especially plagued by them for the last five years or so. Finally, they discuss the latest trade rumors plus some more of what Anthony has been hearing. They wrap on a fun conversation about how three-team deals actually come together.
