    Kindred Conversations

We are two young moms that are committed to loving motherhood because we believe that it is something to be enjoyed, not just endured. We want to cherish the sweet moments and be present during the hard ones while we grow alongside our children. As we have entered motherhood, we have found so much comfort and value in conversations with women in all different stages of motherhood and we are here to share those conversations so we can grow together and embrace all of the joy modern motherhood brings.

    Show notes

Do you ever feel like you have so many priorities that the most important ones start to fall through the cracks? The message of reflection, slowing down, and investing in the vital few things in your life seems especially important in our “time starved age”. Greg McKeown walks us through the application of extreme prioritization- in both a career, and personal setting- in his book, Essentialism. In this episode we talk about our takeaways from Greg’s book and how we can apply these principles as mothers. 057: Keeping a Journal Jan 14, 2022

Submission Episode! This episode topic was sparked by the desire to record all the special memories and traditions of the holidays. Our kids grow so quickly and we want to be able to document each phase before it’s passed and we can’t recall the magical details. Keeping a journal feels like the habit many put on their goals every January but never make much progress… so we asked for your best journaling tips and favorite prompts. Hopefully this will be helpful for those of you hoping to be a more consistent journal writer this year! 054: There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather by Linda Mcgurk Dec 03, 2021
    Show notes

Today’s episode is coming at a much needed time as the weather gets colder and the days get darker! This episode is inspired by the book “There’s No Such Thing as Bad Weather” by Linda McGurk (a Scandinavian born mother). Throughout the book McGurk makes the argument for kids spending time outside- regardless of “bad” weather- and it gave us just the motivation we needed to shift our mindsets and get outside throughout the winter months. We hope it’s helpful for you and your family throughout this season as well! If you enjoyed this episode of Kindred Conversations please share with your friends by word of mouth and on social media! You can join in the conversation @kindred_conversations, @paris.tews, and @brittanywestoverfrye on Instagram.
