The Three Things it Took to Double My Revenue Every Year Oct 31, 2022
    Show notes

The journey of entrepreneurship is different for everyone. I started Fitnancial Solutions back in 2015 with just an idea and a logo but in 2019 things started to pick up and I started to take it more seriously. I've realized that these four things are what it took for me to double my revenue every year.

I'm always reaching up, taking action, learning more, doing what needs to be done, and then trying again if I need to. It's about taking action. I also never sold information. Many entrepreneurs think value is in the information, but it's not. I give information away for free 24/7 because I'm charging for transformation. I also had to learn to trust people after learning mistrust in my corporate job. Finally, I changed my business model to better reflect our core values and we saw huge growth in this.

When Can I Afford to Hire? Oct 28, 2022
    Show notes

There are few tell-tale signs that it's time to hire (besides burnout). We can't wait to hire until we're so burnt out that we can't continue on. So how can you know when you can afford to hire? The key lies in your cash flow. You need to be aware of your cash flow forecast and how hiring will affect it. Consider the cost, but also how much time and money you can make with your freed-up time. Following these guidelines, I've been able to hire and build my business into what it is today!

Resisting Financial Fear in Uncertain Times with Belinda Rosenblum Oct 27, 2022
    Show notes

In times of economic uncertainty, it's easy to listen to the negative voices and negative self-talk in our heads when it comes to money. This is especially true for business owners and entrepreneurs because we're already subject to more risk than a typical salaried employee when it comes to how and when we'll earn our next dollar. That's why I am excited to have Belinda Rosenblum on the show.

Belinda is a CPA and a Profit Strategist as a part of her company, Own Your Money. She helps busy female coaches and experts sustainably scale their revenue and profits by upleveling their financial systems and strategies and stepping into the CEO role with her signature Cash Flow CEO Accelerator program. She believes it's time female entrepreneurs feel worthy and safe with money, finally enjoy the freedom they started their business for in the first place, and consistently take home the money they want each month.

Belinda is here to discuss some ways you can overcome financial fear in the context of an economically uncertain time. You'll hear us discuss what's going on in the market right now, what we're seeing with business owners, and the struggles they're facing. I know you will love this episode because it will help you understand that you're not alone if you're struggling with any of these things and remind you that there is a way out.

How to Know if Your Business is Profitable Oct 26, 2022
    Show notes

When it comes to business finances, many people broadcast their revenue numbers but don't really talk about their profit. Believe it or not, a lot of the businesses and influencers you follow may not be profitable. They can say they're a multi-seven-figure business owner or an eight-figure CEO, but what you take home is what really matters. That's why we named this podcast "Keep What You Earn." I want to make sure you're keeping more of what you earn. To help with that, in this episode, I explain how you can know if you are profitable and how to figure out what your profit is.

Finding the Right Advice with Mike Jesowshek, CPA Oct 25, 2022
    Show notes

As I was building my business, I consistently listened to podcasts. One of my staple podcasts was the Small Business Tax Savings Podcast, hosted by Mike Jesowshek. I am looking forward to today's episode because Mike is today's guest. We are actually doing a cross-over episode between our two shows. I took a lot of inspiration from his podcast as I was building my business so this is a really cool experience for me. I love how Mike can break down complicated tax subjects while still providing enough information to be really helpful. You'll hear us discuss how to decipher good advice online, how to find a professional who's looking out for you, and how to educate yourself on these types of complicated topics while also empowering yourself. We also touch on competition, how everyone is welcome in this space, and why he and I believe collaboration is so important.

How Much Cash Should I Have in the Bank? Oct 24, 2022
    Show notes

We often use cash as a financial thermostat that dictates how we feel about our business, but I don't want that to be the case for you as a business owner. I want you to think about cash objectively and as a metric to measure, not as a trigger for emotion. To help with that, I am going to unpack how much cash you should have in the bank at any given time.

Taking Advantage of the Employee Retention Tax Credit with Kristen Engeron Oct 20, 2022
    Show notes

As an entrepreneur, it is exciting to meet someone with a similar mindset as me in business. This is especially true in the tax and accounting industry, where it is so easy to fall into old habits and continue doing things the way they've always been done. So it was refreshing to meet Kristen Engeron. Kristen is the President of Legacy Consultants, LLC, which provides outsourced CFO and controller services, as well as tax services. They have been in business since 2010 and have clients all over the United States. Kristen has over 20 years of tax experience that she uses to ensure her clients' businesses are as profitable as they can be through corporate structuring, tax planning, and establishing appropriate financial controls and departments.

Kristen is truly in business to help small business owners in any way she can. One way she does that is by offering an Employee Retention Tax Credit (ERTC) service, which is what we discuss in this episode. I know you're going to enjoy this conversation with Kristen. You'll learn how to take advantage of the ERTC and what red flags to look out for when searching for a professional to work with.

Stepping into a CEO Mindset Oct 19, 2022

As a CFO, one of my goals is to bring out the qualities in my clients that help them shine as CEOs. I've recently spent some time unpacking what it takes to be a CEO and what it takes to step into a CEO mindset. I ended up with a short list of things that I believe drive a CEO's approach to problems and help you show up as a CEO. I'm going to share that list with you, along with relatable examples for context.
