Kent Swanson and Matt Lane sit down with Erik Galko, Director of the East-West Shrine Bowl, to break down why this draft class is one of the most "anxiety-inducing" cycles in recent memory.
With the Kansas City Chiefs holding significant draft capital (Picks 9, 29, and 40), the margin for error is razor-thin. We discuss why teams are leaning toward "safe" prospects, which high-upside players with medical red flags are worth the risk, and why the Chiefs might prioritize "hitting it down the fairway" over taking big swings.
In this episode, we cover:
The "Talent Gap": Why GMs are worried about the lack of depth in the 2026 class.
Draft Strategy: Should the Chiefs prioritize positional value or just take the best football player available?
Player Spotlights: Deep dives into Jordan Tyson (the best WR in the class?), Chris Bell, Peter Woods, and Spencer Fano.
The Trenches: Why we expect to see a run on offensive linemen and defensive backs early in the first round.
Final Predictions: Who will the Chiefs land at Pick 9?
