Show notes
The 2026 NFL Draft is in the books, and Brett Veach just made one of the boldest moves of his career. In this episode of That Football Show, Matt Verderame and Tucker Franklin break down why the Kansas City Chiefs decided it was "Mansoor Delane or Bust" at pick number six.
We dive deep into the LSU cornerback’s elite tape, the trade-up costs, and why the Chiefs front office felt they had to jump the board to secure the only lockdown corner in the class. Plus, we grade the rest of the Chiefs' draft haul and look at why this specific draft class was described as "dart central" after the first 60 picks.
In this episode:
The Mansoor Delane Trade: Why the Chiefs traded a surplus (including pick 74) to move up to #6.
Why Cornerback Over Edge? Explaining the front office’s logic regarding the depth of this year's pass rushers vs. the scarcity of elite DBs.
Draft Winners & Losers: Why the Jaguars and Bills’ draft strategies "defied logic."
AFC West Fallout: How the rest of the division tried to keep pace with the defending champs.
Round 1-7 Analysis: Breaking down the value picks and the "dart throws" in the later rounds.
Was the trade-up for Delane a masterclass or a massive risk? Let us know your draft grades in the comments! 👇
