Published in 1819 in a collection of stories called "The Sketchbook of Geoffrey Crayon, Gent.", it is the story of a farmer that heads to the mountains to avoid his wife. He meets strangely dressed, odd-looking men along the way. Should he partake in the liquor in their flagon? Methinks not.
