It is the story of Edmond Dantes who is wrongfully imprisoned, escapes and, exacts revenge on his enemies. In this episode, Edmond returns home after 3 months at sea and visits his father.

It follows the adventures of Anne Shirley, a red-haired orphan girl, mistakenly sent to the Cuthberts on Prince Edward Island. In this episode, Marilla Cuthbert decides whether they should keep Anne.
