    EP55: In a Storm? What To Do Part 2 Apr 09, 2018
    Show notes

Storms in life are inevitable. Being a Christian doesn’t mean we get to escape the heartache and hardship of life. But it does mean we get to persevere with supernatural strength, supernatural peace and every once in a while when He wills it - we get to see God perform a miracle for His glory. It’s not about being rescued the minute a few water droplets hit our heads. It’s about seeing what God can do through us when the kitchen floods.
In this episode, Anna shares an intimate story of a storm she's currently going through and what she's learning as the waves rock her boat. Sometimes God doesn't hush the winds. But he remains in the boat and holds us until the clouds break.
So what do we do until then?
Here's a hint: Psalm 37:3: Trust in the Lord and do good; dwell in the land and enjoy safe pasture.
    Enjoy today's show!

EP54: What to do in a storm Apr 02, 2018
    Show notes

Remember when Jesus was taking a snooze on a boat during a storm? And the disciples went into a full blown panic? Here they were - on a boat - WITH JESUS - and slipped into the panic abyss.
The storms in life can be terrifying, but they don't have to be.
Storms are our opportunity to show God our faith. Demonstrate our trust. Storms also allow a washing away of the old to make way for the new. And what's better, as believers, we are given full authority to fly above a storm into bright, clear skies.
I love the illustration of our journey with God being like a long flight. If a bad storm cloud approaches, we can rise above it. Yes, as we enter the clouds, there will be bumps. We may get scared - but then, we are above the clouds. Calm air. We see the sun! And we can look down at the storm clouds below - and be in total peace.
This is why Jesus slept during the storm. Because he knew - there was no reason to ever be afraid.
    LOVE this episode. Enjoy!

EP52: This is True Beauty Mar 19, 2018
    Show notes

    Proverbs 31:10
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies.
As much as I have trouble believing it, beauty has nothing to do with my cellulite, a good bra and a miracle toner. The book of Proverbs talks about a noble, beautiful woman and we talk about it in today's episode.
Good thing we have Proverbs 31:10. It’s a passage by King Lemuel, taught to him by his mother. I encourage you to open your bibles and read along with me. Here we get a lovely look into what true beauty actually is.

EP51: King Solomon Don't Play (wisdom that will change your life) Mar 12, 2018
    Show notes

Proverbs 19:8: He who gains wisdom loves his own life.
What if you had a cure that would, without a doubt, heal someone’s suffering - but no matter how many times you shared the cure, people ignored you? Created excuses as to why you were wrong - or gave lengthy laundry lists of why they “tried” but it “nothing ever goes right for them. Or worse, thought you were crazy and that they knew better than you?
They say King Solomon was the wisest man to ever live. If you read the book of Proverbs you'll see reoccurring themes. We analyze these life changing verses so we can all live our best life!

    EP50: Desperate for Wisdom Mar 05, 2018
    Show notes

The information age started by spoon feeding us information and we were thankful because Encyclopedia's are for nerds and people with too much shelf space.
But the spoon has slowly evolved into a bat.
Over our heads. All the time. Relentless.
    And now? We're getting desperate.
Desperate for something else - something more - meaningful? Something that speaks to something greater?
    Some sort of knowledge?
But not any knowledge. The lessons that are so essential to a fulfilling, joyful, Christ centered life.
A life that is good. A life to proud of.
    We're desperate for wisdom.
Life really doesn't have to be so hard. Sure, we'll encounter pain, hurts and tragedies. But most of the time? We won't.
Let's let most of the time, be the most incredible, wonderful time and not muck it up.
Let's learn from the wisest man to ever exist on earth, shall we?
    Enjoy today's episode.

EP49: We Know It, But Do We Really Believe It? Feb 26, 2018
    Show notes

We forget. We take it for granted. We know it, but we don't always believe it. We hope, but don't always feel. This episode is an in your face reminder of the ultimate truth.

    EP48: Get Lit. It's Your Time. Feb 19, 2018
    Show notes

Is this the worst time to be alive? The worst? Or maybe one of the most important? In this episode, let's talk about why this is an incredibly important time to be alive as a Believer.
One thing this Internet/Information Age has done is amplify darkness. If someone is hurting, broken or desperately mentally ill with evil thoughts, the bowels of the Internet has given the darkness a way to spread and fester in ways we’ve never seen.
But there is one fundamental truth that has never changed. Light casts out darkness. Every single time.
John 1:5 says, “The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it”
In the same way lighting a match in a dark room instantly illuminates the entire room, the principle applies to our very souls. And it always will.
Listen today's episode and get fired up. You're here for a reason. It's time to be a light.

    EP47: You're Speaking My (Love) Language Feb 12, 2018
    Show notes

God created us to need love. The Bible says God is love. So, one can gather from these two facts that God created us to need Him. Isn't that so simple, yet so profound?
On par with food, water and shelter, love is one of our most basic, most precious needs. We can and do, quite literally, die without it.
That's why withholding our love, making our love conditional, or becoming real choosey about when it will be dispersed is one of the most devastating things we can do to another person.
Most of us have heard of the love languages. In fact, if you lived through the 90s, then you had to probably go hide in a bunker for a decade to not hear about the love languages. Many of us have an idea what ours is, what our spouse's is, or we think we remember. Maybe we're not so sure.
We gotta know this. Not just for ourselves, but for our most beloved. In this hilarious, yet thoughtful episode, we get down into the love languages. What's yours?
This can literally save your life, your marriage and relationships. Don't miss this episode!

EP46: What's Love Got to Do, Got to Do with It? Feb 05, 2018
    Show notes

The English language doesn't do God's love justice. In fact, there are varying types of "Love" in the bible, with the Greek root words of Eros (erotic love), Philia (affectionate love, friendship), Storge (familial love), and Agape (selfless love, God's love for us).
If the Bible says God "is love" and the most important commandment is love God with our whole minds, our whole hearts and our entire soul - and the second commandment is love your neighbor as yourself - then love is pretty frickin' important, right?
Often, it's something we take for granted, or simply assume people we love know we love them, and that enough. But it isn't. Love is an action, a demonstration - a commitment.
We get into the nitty gritty of what love really is, during this delightful month of Hallmark, consumerism Valentine's Day!
    Enjoy today's episode!
