EP65: All Must Be Well Jun 18, 2018
    Show notes

How can our body be well when our soul is in turmoil?
It can't, and we're kidding ourselves when we think we can live in fear, worry, stress, anger, self-loathing and [fill in the blank with our own terrible word] and expect ourselves to manage healthy bodies.
Whenever I hear the song "All Must Be Well" from Liz Vice, my eyes well with tears. It's an upbeat song, so it always catches me off guard. But deep in my spirit I know why I'm compelled to cry.
When my soul hears, "All Must Be Well," it leans into the promise.
    It longs for it.
    And so does my body.
Let's get well. Enjoy today's episode!

    EP64: It's a Sabotage! Jun 11, 2018
    Show notes

Let me tell you a story.
There was a time in my life when I knew I was ready to move forward and do great, big, wonderful things.
But I just couldn't get my crap together.
One minute I'd be focused with a plan. The next minute I'd be lost, confused and like, "Wait, what am I doing again?"
I was doing bizarre things, completely out of character - just watching myself do it, like I was having an out of body experience.
    What was wrong with me?
A lightbulb went off in my head.
    I was sabotaging myself.

    EP63: The Objectification Cure Jun 04, 2018
    Show notes

Grab the younger women in your life and listen to this episode together. Objectification attacks the soul. We aren't meant to be objects for someone else's pleasure.
    We're meant for greatness.
The only solution is the objectification cure. Enjoy today's episode.

EP62: Our Bodies: The Blessing We Cursed May 29, 2018
    Show notes

    1 Corinthians 6:19-21
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price.
So glorify God in your body.
It’s that time of year. Time to expose the bat wings and the legs that are in a desperate need of a shave. When we put on shorts and get an inner thigh rash at the zoo thanks to our severe lack of thigh gap, which in turn makes us hate everyone and everything, including the monster who created Dairy Queen’s Blizzard of the month.
It’s the time for some tank tops and spaghetti straps while evaluating if our cotton candy arms should be allowed to meet and greet the world. The time of year when we reluctantly put away the cozy cardigans and other “late night cake eating hiders” (which is a very long nickname I like to give a very stylish Ugg robe I got for Christmas that hid all the regrets of the holidays - thus a garment I wore every day, obviously).
As I reflected on my body - in front of a mirror with horrific lighting (not recommended) I realized a woman’s relationship with her temple is complicated. Not just complicated, but often abusive. Not just abusive in how we feed and nourish our bodies, but how we view, speak to and approach life within our bodies. Women’s bodies, throughout the ages, have been objectified not just by men - but by women. We often objectify ourselves and each other.
Let's change that - starting now. Enjoy today's episode

    EP61: Get over it! May 21, 2018
    Show notes

    It’s time.
    It’s time to move on.
    To let it go.
It’s time, sister. Get over it.
And I say that with so, so much love. It’s been too long.
And the weight of it is too heavy. Much, much too heavy.
You can’t take it with you where you’re going anyway.
I’ve learned the biggest reason we struggle to get over something is because we refuse to change the vision.

EP60: Time to Move on UP! May 14, 2018
    Show notes

After the storm, after the healing - it's time to move on up to what God has for you. Even if it looks like a set back or a downsize - with God, all things are worked out for our good. Get ready for a breakthrough!

EP59: Heal Up Before You Move Up May 07, 2018
    Show notes

    Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
There are so many of us walking around with crater sized emotional wounds from past storms. Denial, fear, avoidance, or covering it up doesn't serve us - in fact, it can destroy us. Today is a must listen for those of us with wounds that need healing so that we can live in the joy and peace and fullness of what God has for us. And if I can be frank - so we can get next level and chase those God sized dreams too.

EP58: Power after the Storm Apr 30, 2018
    Show notes

The storm hit. Now what? We have two options after a storm - to be smarter, faster, wiser - or to withdraw, beat up and fearful of future storms. We know which one the bible recommends - saddle up for a powerful episode on getting settled and established by God after the storm - then to embark on a journey of healing, strength and POWAH!

EP57: Stand Strong: The Storm Never Had a Chance Apr 23, 2018
    Show notes

The Bible tells us that believers have one thing, no one else has - that guarantees victory after the storm.
    Proverbs 10:25
When the whirlwind passes, the wicked is no more, but the righteous has an everlasting foundation.
I love the comfort found in Proverbs 10:25. It assures us that, in God’s perfect timing, the storm will come to an end and the whirlwind will pass and the wicked will be no more... BUT. Do you see that big, fat BUT? It’s pretty important.
BUT the righteous has an everlasting foundation.
It doesn’t say everyone will have an everlasting foundation. It doesn’t say everyone will be blessed through their storms. It doesn’t say everyone will find relief amidst the whirlwind. It doesn’t say everyone gets the rainbow.
This is big, powerful stuff. Enjoy today's episode.

    EP56: Turn a Storm into a Rainbow Apr 16, 2018
    Show notes

Storms aren't fun, but they do have one redeeming quality that's can't be denied - they have the potential to turn into a beautiful rainbow.
    Look for your rainbow!
In John 9:1-12, we're told of a blind man who is healed by Jesus. The disciplines wanted to know what the man or his parents had done to curse him with blindness. Jesus was clear - the man's blindness wasn't anyone's fault - it was an opportunity for God to be glorified.
Only God can turn our storm into rainbow through His glory - and when He works, you'll never be the same.
In today's episode, Anna finishes her Hurricane Anna Saga - and gets into the nitty gritty of how to turn your storm into an unforgettable rainbow!
