S1E6: Three Principles for Visionaries (+ my terrible, no good, stupid birthday) Oct 08, 2018
    Show notes

    This podcast is for visionaries.
In this podcast, I'll share with you my horrible, no good, stupid birthday.
Which will lead me to talking straight to my visionary sisters.
I learned something last week - it was actually a live video I caught by TD Jakes. It was the perfect word and it led me to meditating and thinking about how difficult it can be to be a visionary. There are so many delays and frustrations and heartache.
But that’s okay. It’s supposed to be that way. To help stay the course, we’ll discuss the 3 principles of a vision. What kind of vision? A vision for your future, your destiny, your family, your kids, your marriage, your friendships, your ministry, your job … whatever it is.
If you have a vision in your heart that is screaming to become real life, then let’s talk - this podcast is for us -

Today’s hilarious short story is, by far, one of the funniest, craziest stories I’ve ever heard by actor, comedy writer and producer Johanna Stein.
This is a story about Johanna bringing home her placenta from the hospital in a maniacal plot for revenge against her friend.
And it doesn't go quite as planned. Sound crazy? It is. And hilarious.

S1E5: Difficult Pasts Can Propel Us Into Awesome Futures w/Tiffany of Juggling the Jenkins Oct 01, 2018
    Show notes

If you thought that your past was too much to overcome, your circumstances too bleak or insurmountable to have a bright future, Tiffany proves there is nothing you can't overcome. There is always hope.
Tiffany who is now a huge online super star with nearly 2 million followers, used to suffer with with a drug addiction that rapidly slipped out of control. This landed her in jail, which lead to rehab, where she eventually found herself pregnant in a half way house.
What I learned most from Tiffany is that the first step to a joy filled life is using your gift to serve others, and in her case, using her humor and truth telling to bring laughter and encouragement to the masses.
I hope this inspires you into truly knowing that there is nothing in your past that God can’t use to propel your future. The best is yet to come!

S1E3: Comedian Ercell Watson and Finding Joy in Painful Transformations Sep 17, 2018
    Show notes

Anna chats with popular comedian Ercell Watson who shares his story of a dramatic shift in "purpose" after a devastating DUI.
In this episode we talk about:
*Those life changing moments - this crap is no longer working for me moments - that alter our path for better or for worse.
*Pursuing joy - even in the midst of chaos, like Ercell experienced when he was homeless.
*Shifts in purpose. What if your gift isn't your meant to serve your purpose? What if it's simply the crowbar that opens other doors?
*What if we have unknown gifts we never discovered because we haven't even tried them yet?
We hope this episode inspires you to pursue joy in the process and in the transformation - not in the end result. Enjoy today's show!

S1E2: Running out of gas on the purpose driven hwy PLUS inspiring stories from Charity Water w/Tyler Riewer Sep 10, 2018
    Show notes

Can seeking your purpose in life actually be depressing? In today’s episode we talk about running out of gas on the purpose driven highway. Here’s a hint: It’s because we take our purpose way, way too seriously. Anna explains what that means.
Then, we talk with the charming Tyler Riewer of Charity Water. He goes into extremely rural areas in Africa to meet the people in these communities - communities where women walk miles, multiple times per day for clean water (and the water is black sludge). Yet, they are some of the kindest, most joy filled people he has ever met. How can that be? Get ready to be inspired to get a little perspective.
PLUS, Anna asks Tyler his most embarrassing story and he shares something that happened in while in Africa and it’s equally horrifying as it is hilarious.
    Enjoy the show!

INTS S1E1: Know Thyself Before You Wreck Yo Self! Is this Ancient Personality Test a Joy Secret? Sep 03, 2018
    Show notes

Today, hilarious guest co-host Katie Fitzsimmons joins Anna to talk about:
When husbands put our children in grave danger and think it’s funny without considering, the you know, GRAVE DANGER.
PLUS, the joy topic for the day -
Know thyself before you wreck yo self!
What you don’t know about yourself can hurt you. And, what you don’t know about yourself can hurt other people.
Truly understanding our personality and the motivations behind so much of our behavior is incredible information that can miraculously unlock joy in our lives. Let me introduce the ancient personality test that's also freaky accurate - the Enneagram.
We talk about this test, plus the incredibly insightful book on the Enneagram “The Road Back to You."
What we learned about ourselves and those we love is invaluable! God gave us personalities and temperaments for a reason. Let’s find out what that is, shall we?
