Marjonni joins Christian and Alejandro to discuss Dane Cook’s best film, Employee of the Month (2006), which puts Dane against Dax... Shepard that is, as they fight for the love and affection of Jessica Simpson all housed in the four walls of an off-brand Costco. Marjonni (1 time employee of the month) doesn’t pick favorites, this time siding with both Alejandro and Christian on a number of topics. Christian (0 time employee of the month) hates the HR lady even though she saves the day, really it’s not the lady per say that Christian hates, more so movie stereotypes keeping brown women down... honestly he’s not wrong come to think of it. They all pick which checkout stand they would choose to go to, and Alejandro (3 time employee of the month) eats his dinner during the episode. Gangster Squad (2013) | Do Your Taxes, Criminals Feb 04, 2021

It’s time to grab your fedoras and Tommy guns, Baddies, we’re going after organized crime in 1950’s Los Angeles. We watched Gangster Squad, starring Ryan Gosling, Sean Penn, Josh Brolin, Anthony Mackie, Michael Peña, Nick Nolte, and of course, the impeccable Emma Stone. For a biopic, this movie has zero facts, and most of the characters that died are based on real people who did not die; the scriptwriters added characters to fill out the multicultural aspect of the Gangster Squad. Alejandro is let down by Sean Penn’s commitment. Christian thinks it’s spot on and that Sean Penn can do no wrong. Christian does an impeccable Ryan Gosling impression and Alejandro is trying to figure out how to wear a trench coat without looking like a flasher. This movie could NOT be made now or even thought about in a Hollywood boardroom. In this film we learn the importance of first impressions and the most employed extra in the business. Alejandro wonders how Hollywood gets high school proms and parties so wrong. Jiu-jitsu, noun, a Japanese system of unarmed combat and physical training. ALSO Jiu Jitsu is also a 2020 film starring Nicolas Cage, Tony Jaa, Alain Moussi, and Frank Grillo. The film however has nothing to do with Japan, and has almost zero actual Jiu Jitsu. This movie is some where between a Rugrats adventure and what would happen if a group of stunt doubles found a camera and enough money for ONE actual actor.
