Show notes

Breakdown:

Alex returns from his vacation to exclaim a hot take: hotel pillows are not very good. Oh and we have new housekeeping, new announcements, and exciting stuff happening.
In games there is more than plenty to talk about, with Overwatch, Zelda DLC, Amazon deals, Battlegrounds, and of course, Black Desert Online. Did we mention that Crash is apparently back?
News is all about Kingdom Hearts. Okay, not all about it, but from 1:08:40 to 1:41:38 we are pretty much just talking about the Kingdom Hearts news, so if you want to skip it, there you go.
We also talk about story in Destiny 2 and Ni No Kuni’s delay.
We don’t have many questions, so we take to BETS, and throw it out.

IP332: Put Your Money Where Alex's Mouth Is Jun 20, 2017

Show notes

Breakdown:

This week we don’t have many games to go over, we’re all pretty tired, and we are down for a chill show.
In games Alex reflects on Plague of Shadows and Alundra. Nabeshin is still playing Persona 5 and some other things. We learn waaaay too much about Black Desert Online from Tony. Scott is playing Puzzle and Dragons.
We go over what we liked and what we’re worried about from E3. Each of us get to share our favorite game we saw.
We settle our E3 BETS.
We take a few of your questions! Something about Sky High?
We get back on board with BETS, and end the show proudly. Thank you all for listening!

IP331: Min/Max-Hor/Vath Jun 13, 2017

Show notes

Breakdown:

Nato Johnston is in town, EA has done their E3 press conference, we are dead-center in the middle of the action, LET'S GOOOO!
We get right into games and Nato makes us all a little more Australian. Alex played a bunch of Shovel Knight. Nabeshin is back in the groove... Well, not really, but Persona 5 is still great. Scott and Tony tell us about a little game called Black Desert Online (foreshadowing)
We go nuts over EA... Not really, again. We talk about EA and how it seemed like a step up from last year. We go over the news we missed, Nintendo's Online Service, and make some BETS.
After E3 BETS, that's the show, it's a banger, we throw it out!

IP330: Genuine Jazz May 30, 2017

Show notes

Breakdown:

This episode is a CERTIFIED BANGER! Guaranteed.
We have so many cool games to get to. Nier is a cult classic, and Alex says why. We talk about journeys in Player Unknown Battlegrounds. ARMS is officially good. Scott is still out in Zelda town.
We have all the pre-E3 news going on, with Red Dead getting delayed, Far Cry 5 getting fully unveiled, and more rumors. Oh, and Xbox Games Pass is out now!
We make some E3 predictions and take YOUR predictions and discuss them too!
We took your E3 predictions as questions, so we just focus in on BETS and then throw it out.

IP329: That's a Big 2 May 23, 2017

Show notes

Breakdown:

It’s the episode that’s pretty much all about Destiny 2.
We talk games! Persona 5 is still taking our time, Alex is starting up the original Nier, Puzzles, Dragons, and Notice Me Senpai is finally leaving the rotation.
In news we give our thoughts on Destiny 2’s reveal, speculate on Far Cry 5, go through the NPDs for April, and wonder if Assassin’s Creed will be good again.
With Tony in town we make some jokes, answer some questions, and get into BETS.
Bets, The show. That’s it. Thank you for listening!

IP328: 2 Fast 2 Graffius May 16, 2017

Show notes

Breakdown:

Warning: we used our backup audio this week so the audio quality definitely took a hit! Many apologies!!
Justin Graffius comes down from the PA to join us in Persona 5 rejoicing!
In games: we’ve all finished Persona 5! So we definitely don’t spoil anything, don’t worry, but we talk about how we all really, really like it.
We also get into more Player Unknown Battlegrounds, something about Puzzle and Dragons, a Flinthook piece, and how great Mario Kart 8 is, still!
In news we get upset about Mass Effect and the whole thing, get more sad about I/O Interactive losing their parent company, and confirm a few things in the trudge leading up to E3.
We didn’t get any questions this week, and that made us very sad, but that’s the show, we have bets, and we close it out!
