This week Brandt Ranj gets to join in with the shenanigans as we are down a Tony and up and Alex!
KFL3 is coming up, if you’re going to be there, come say hi to Alex and Nabeshin!
We get to catch up on some games this week, like what to play over the summer, what Prey is like, and that recent hit: Mega Man X from 1991.
We also hear about Flinthook, this time from Scott, and also more battle royale like games!
In news we talk a bit more about the 2DS again, Bananas, E3, and Darksiders 3! Oh, and that first Zelda DLC sounds pretty neat.
We take a bunch of questions, make a really dumb bet, and then throw out the show.

IP326: Back Up... May 02, 2017

Show notes

Breakdown:

This week Alex is sick and Tony is working, so Scott and Nabeshin hold down the fort in the first two man show in quite a while!
The boys get right to game talk. Nabeshin hasn’t been playing a lot of games, Scott was told to talk about Puzzle and Dragons, and Nabeshin and Scott air out their issues with Zelda Breath of the Wild.
The boys take a break and then Alex makes the News music happen in post.
There is a NEW 2DS and it’s bigger! So that’s cool. We also talk Atlus and Persona 5 streaming, Switch sales numbers, and plenty of release date updates!
There aren’t any messages or emails, but we still have a BET to close out from last week.
That’s the show! Let Scott and Nabeshin know if you enjoyed their one-on-one endeavor! Big thanks to them for holding down the fort!

IP324: Are We Supposed to be Recording? Apr 18, 2017

Show notes

Breakdown:

This week the infamous Nato Johnston joins us right from the chat, to talk about all things Australia. Don’t miss the Bonus Content this week, it’s worth it!
We get right into the big deals first, Persona 5 still makes all of us happy, especially Nabeshin. We also talk about Zelda, and Scott’s problems with it, and try and have a pretty reasonable talk about the whole thing.
We take the Band-aid off Mass Effect Andromeda and why it’s bumming Nate out, and then see if Yooka Laylee is worth a look.
In news, Alex has some concerns for Star Wars Battlefront 2, even if the story looks great, Nintendo had a weird direct, and Uncharted Lost Legacy is out this summer!
We pick a winner from last week’s Persona 5 contest! Congrats Miranda!
We take the show to Bets and throw everything out with a silly bit.

Show notes

Breakdown:

We are joined by good friend and Persona efficanado Justin Graffius for our Persona 5 episode!
We kick things off with a contest! Tweet @IrrationalPod with a thing you think looks cool about Persona 5 with the hashtag #PersonaQ and if you’re in the US you can enter for a chance to win a steelbook copy of the game on PS4!
We have a big general discussion about Persona 5. No spoilers, no story discussions, but we do talk about the mechanics and through the first dungeon. If you want to skip the discussion all together, jump ahead to 1:13:37
We also have some Nier to hear about, the bummer that is Mass Effect, and some Osu or some weird rhythm game or whatever.
We also discuss news, how the Scoprio sounds, Altus’s weird restrictions on Persona streaming, and Alex talks around some specifics in regards to Persona 5, so be warned.
We take a couple questions, take our Bets, and throw it out!

IP322: Andrew Hates Africa Apr 05, 2017

Show notes

Breakdown:

This week Andrew Taylor joins us from Fit The Gamer to dive into all the hot new releases and have some shake-filled fun!
Warning: there are some weird audio issues with Scott’s audio throughout the podcast. It’s inconsistent in sound level and I (Alex) did the best I could with it. Apologies for the poor quality!
Alex finally, FINALLY talks about Persona 5, but don't’ worry, absolutely nothing about the story is mentioned. He just talks about getting into the game and the things he is most excited to talk about next week. He loves it.
We spend some more time talking about Zelda and the lack of much fun Scott is having with it, Tony’s love, and how much Andrew wants to play. We also dig into rhythm games, Battlefield 1, and Inside.
The only news thing we have to talk about is Destiny 2’s confirmation and the vibes we are getting from it.
We take your questions and then throw the show out. Thank you all! BETS
