Which Facebook Advertising Campaign Type Is Best For You? Aug 09, 2017
    Show notes

Not sure what type of Facebook advertising campaign is best for you? get this wrong and Facebook may deliver you the wrong type of visitor for your advertising campaigns... After nearly 2 hours of question and answer live here on YouTube, it became clear that the question of "what type of Facebook ad campaign is best?" is a huge confusing point for most people. There is a large segment of people who seem to believe that you need to run a pay per engagement campaign first to build engagement on an ad or on an advertising account before running a conversion based campaign. I believe this comes from some course and it makes no sense to me. This video looks at how the different Facebook advertising campaigns are structured and reveal why Facebook uses these different campaign types. Is always important to remember that Facebook has a very large volume of data on every single Facebook user. This data is not simply your age, gender, location… Facebook understands whether you frequently make purchases online, whether you prefer to use cash or credit card, they even are able to tell if you're in the market for a new car. They also know if you're highly engaged user on Facebook, if you're an active contributor to Facebook, or if you're more of a lurker here on Facebook. This data can help enhance your advertising campaigns on Facebook! Making sure you align your campaign objective with your ultimate goal of the advertising campaign is absolutely necessary. If you are trying to build your email list with Facebook pay per click campaigns, you should be running conversion-based campaigns. If you are trying to sell a tripwire offer, you should also be running conversion-based Facebook campaigns. If you are pre-launching a product and looking to get exposure for a video that tells a brand story or reveals a product coming soon... It makes more sense to get engagements on that kind of content. This is where you would use a pay per engagement campaign because you are able to boost the virality of that content and the only goal of that content is to get viewers to watch. If you want to run an inbound marketing campaign forced to step Facebook pay per click campaign, then it can make sense to set up one cost per click or traffic based campaign and one conversion-based retargeting campaign. For more information on a two-step advertising campaign on Facebook, watch this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gCC5H-oAa1c Generally speaking your goal with running Facebook pay per click campaigns is going to be growing your email list and converting email subscribers into customers. Whether your website is brand new or well-established, the goal is still the same… Conversions. Now it is possible to drive conversions from a pay per engagement campaign, but as I reveal in the video that is more than likely a less efficient approach than starting with a conversion campaign. The ultimate answer to every question regarding Facebook pay per click advertising is to test for yourself. Because your mileage may vary and your niche may respond differently than other niches on Facebook. With that said there are some best practices and more advantageous starting points based on data from millions of dollars in ads spent and conversations from Facebook advertising representatives. The data that I'm seeing, the data that my teachers are sharing, the data that the Facebook representatives are offering state very clearly… Align your advertising goal with the campaign type that most represents the action you want the user to take and Facebook will deliver you more of those people in the long term. $5 Facebook Ads - Beginner & Advanced FB Advertising Strategy Using $5 Ad Sets, Revealed! Aug 09, 2017
    Show notes

Are five dollar Facebook advertising campaigns for rookies only? Absolutely not! Beginners and advanced advertisers alike can leverage the five dollar Facebook ad to increase ROI fast. One of the most common questions I receive in my Facebook videos is "How much money do I need to get started advertising on Facebook?" More advanced marketers are always asking "how do I scale my Facebook ad campaigns?" When used correctly, the five dollar Facebook ad campaign can accomplish both goals! For beginners or internet marketers with tight budgets, it is obvious... A five dollar per day ad campaign is going to get you exposure on the Facebook ad platform while minimizing the investment required. Most people don't realize that advanced advertisers are able to leverage these same five dollar Facebook ad campaigns to quickly and effectively test new audiences and interests while minimizing risk. To go deeper into the 'how to' I have put together a video where I setup a new Facebook retargeting advertising campaign and duplicate out the ad set in the exact way you would to make this $5/day FB advertising method a reality. Watch that video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DluuQ952900 Then, once the ads are running, you need to be sure you are analyzing the Facebook ad data correctly. To help you with this, I have created 3 videos where we follow the campaign I set up above in the retargeting video and you see how I analyze and adjust the ad set budgets. How To Analyze Facebook Ad Data Part 1: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mcAE1CX-09Q How To Analyze Facebook Ad Data Part 2: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fp5CMGO64dM How To Analyze Facebook Ad Data Part 3: hhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hhsjV0zdDw4 This stuff really works as you can see from the above video series where I implemented this Facebook advertising strategy and document the process in the FB ads manager to show the results. If you are wondering why this advertising strategy works, the best analogy I can come up with is that of roulette. Player a walks up to the roulette table with 20 $5 chips and places them all on number 18.... The odds are stacked against this player and ultimately they lose their $100 quickly with nothing to show for it. Player B walks up to a roulette table with 20 $5 chips as well...But takes a different approach. On the first spin Player B places 20 $5 chips on 20 different numbers.... And hits one! This recoups Player B's Initial investment allowing that player to continue playing, again spreading out the bets. The best part about Facebook advertising compared to roulette is that once you find something that works, you can double your bet on that and continue to spread your additional bets out on new, untested interests and audiences. Slowly but surely you are able to create a number of different productive ad sets through testing that you are able to increase your budget and continue running for weeks, months, years on end! Is important to keep in mind what a statistically significant test is. You must have enough clicks, leads, sales in your funnel in order to make decisions that are truly based on the data. If you're basing decisions on 25 clicks or the results from 10 subscribers… There is no statistical significance backing that decision. If you're basing your decisions on 1000 clicks and 400 subscribers, the data is going to support making a correct decision because of the law of large numbers. Your conversion rates are going to fluctuate much more with smaller numbers than they will with larger numbers. This is why it is important when running five dollar Facebook ads to allow these ads to run long enough to obtain the data that you need to make informed and intelligent decisions. Patience is your friend and ultimately you will get more statistically significant data spending $50 over the course of 10 days then you will from spending $50 in one day. I show how to setup your conversion based campaigns in this way in the "How To Run Retargeting Ads On Facebook" video, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DluuQ952900 In this video I mentioned two other videos That can help you advance your Facebook advertising game quickly! First is the "know your numbers" video where you learn how to figure out your key performance indicators or KPIs. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YVOEcxIZ7u0&index=1&list=PL0sOKzn__yK38AZwJ_M65QLh6Yhb9I03U Second is the "How to spy on your competitors ads on Facebook" Video to help you write compelling Facebook ad copy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=or7HZaMyt_c&list=PL0sOKzn__yK3VNE2RQou_TQ7cQtC65-6- Finally, if you want help putting together your first Facebook advertising campaign, this video walks you through the entire process: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XYY6zn3c8Xk

How To Create Online Courses The Easy Way Aug 09, 2017
    Show notes

Creating online courses can feel overwhelming and impossible until you learn this one simple trick that Frank Kern taught me... The trick is in the framework and how it allows you to "brain dump" the entire online course curriculum in one session so you can visualize and map out the user's experience, before creating your first course module. There is no doubt in my mind that a large part of my wife and my success online is our ability and persistence in creating new courses on a very regular basis. The first online courses we built were haphazard and extremely difficult to create... This framework gave us a mechanism we were able to use to outline our main modules within the course, the sub lessons within the course, and a way to link the different courses with our free offers, with ease. Once you have your overall framework established, you are able to break apart the different milestones and modules to create your lead bait, tripwire, and high ticket products all with one simple framework. The best part is that your course components will all relate to each other and your lead bait will naturally lend users to want your tripwire offer and help those customers build desire for your high ticket products. You can also use this exact same course creation method to create powerful lead bait offers that will drive lead conversions and help you build and nurture the relationship with your leads, fast. In this video, I don't simply explain the framework, but we get our hands dirty together… Allowing you to see how I apply using the framework for an information product I'm creating in a course like fashion. Once you have filled out the main framework and all of the sub-frameworks required… You literally have a step-by-step roadmap that easily translates into an online course. You would simply create an individual video for each milestone on the roadmap… Or a slideshow presentation that could include one slide for every milestone, etc. The specifics on how you create your content for your information product is definitely unique to you, your target market, and the content your teaching… Be sure to leverage the media that works best to help your users have the best experience with your course as possible. I give very clear examples in this video of when I would use a screen capture video versus when I would use slide-based presentations. If you would like to see a full presentation that I created using this exact framework, click here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QqtrGHM1naM You can also use this framework to create a comprehensive content marketing plan. Where every sub-milestone becomes a separate blog post, video or podcast episode during your 90 day challenge. I'm a large proponent of building an affiliate marketing business and creating your first marketing funnels around someone else's product. This saves you time and energy, allowing you to test your idea and test your opt-in quickly, before investing too much money or time in the creation process. With that said, once you establish that you have an audience who is receptive to your offers and is purchasing the affiliate products… You can simply replace the affiliate products with your products by leveraging this exact framework and creating your own online course. One final tip is to be sure you read out loud your framework before creating the slides… And once your slides are created read them aloud once also. Reading out all of the course content allowed helps you to make sure that everything is organized in a logical fashion so when your users consume your course content all of the steps are in the correct order. When you read something out loud that's out of order, it just feels wrong and you know that you have to stop and go back into the framework and make adjustments to clarify. And of course, always stay focused on goals, problems, dreams, hopes and desires that your audience has and create all of your online courses to be of service in helping your audience achieve their goals and avoid their fears!

Facebook Advertising Math Aug 09, 2017
    Show notes

Are you tracking the right Facebook Advertising metrics? Do you know how to calculate your KPIs for successful ad campaigns? If not, you are setting yourself up to lose money on your Facebook ad campaigns without even realizing it. If you get this right, you can move forward testing as sets, ads and campaigns knowing exactly what numbers you need to see in order to start scaling your FB ads fast! Facebook advertising is known to be the best ad platform available today, but most people struggle running profitable or break even ad campaigns... And it is because they don't know their numbers well enough! This video covers the two numbers you must track and how to calculate them for your funnel. Here are the two math examples from the video written out for you... First is an example where you make $100 for a sale. In this example, you have a 2% conversion rate on your sales page. This means you should expect one sale for every 50 visitors to your sales page. (100 / 2) Since this is the OTO your visitors see after they opt in, this means you need to generate 50 leads for every $100 sale... 50/$100 = $2 When you divide the 50 leads by $100 you get a $2 cost per lead... Or CPL. So you need to see $2 leads coming through your Facebook ads manager and when you reach the $100 spend mark, you should expect to see 1 sale! Simple, right? Ok, lets do the second example from the video... In this example, lets say you earn $25 per sale. You also have a 1% conversion rate, meaning it will take 100 leads to generate 1 sale on average. So you divide the 100 leads by $25 and you get $0.25 In this scenario you need to get 25 cent leads in order to be on pace to have one $25 sale for every 100 leads. Simple, right? Knowing your numbers is so important... And ignoring facebook's cost per click is often important since you need data that is backed by conversion. Also, stick around to the end of the video where I explain how to be sure you are getting real data from the facebook advertising system because they are notorious about trying to 'claim' more sales than they generate. If you want to go deeper and see how this applies to my past campaign, watch this video next: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mAsr-kO2G6E

The Relationship Equity Account - Your Key To Long-term Success Online Aug 08, 2017
    Show notes

The relationship equity account - your key to long-term success with your online business. Most people don't think about every interaction with their audience as a 'transaction' like we think about our banking and savings account... But business owners should. In this video, we look at the analogy of content marketing, marketing funnels, affiliate marketing and even network marketing in the context of relationship equity. There are too many people who enter the online business world and simply try to get from people. All they can think about is themselves and their scarcity... That feeling of "I need to get money"... This is like trying to make a withdrawal from a savings account that has no money in it... It simply doesn't work and it can have negative consequences. So what is the right approach? It is the Jab, Jab, Jab, Right Hook approach coined by Gary Vaynerchuk Focus on giving first... This is like making deposits in the relationship equity account... Take this channel for example... or my main business, which are both examples covered in this video. We look at the 'right way' and the 'wrong way' to use this important business philosophy to your advantage in your online business. Get this right and you will end up ahead of the rest of the amateur internet marketers who simply try to sell, sell, sell.
