In Defense of Junior Jul 18, 2025

Show notes

You know, 1994 was just a different time. It was a time when we asked big questions like, "what would it look like if the most famous bodybuilder of all-time decided to get pregnant?" Well, after all your patience, it's finally time for us to defend, Junior! Sitting on Rotten Tomatoes at 39% and a Popcornmeter rating at 22%, Junior is a complex tale of a lonely man who just wants purpose in his life, and his best-friend who's scientific ambition far-outweighs his morals.Join Dan and Aaron for a hilarious episode where they unpack this roller coaster of a movie, dive into scientific inaccuracies, and stress about butt-babies!

In Defense of Gentlemen Broncos Apr 09, 2025

Show notes

Oooooo it's time for us to defend Gentlemen Broncos! From the brilliant minds of Jared and Jerusha Hess comes this touching and bizarre film about being true to yourself and rediscovering yourself after the death of a family member. After the hugely successful Napoleon Dynamite, and the iconic Nacho Libre, and LONG before this new Minecraft movie, came this little comedy that completely flopped at the box office and was lambasted by critics - a mere 20% on Rotten Tomatoes. But is it really so simple? Come along as we dive into the themes and symbolism of this not-so-hidden gem.
