DrBeen#24 How to Maximize Autophagy Ep 24: How to Maximize The Benefits of Autophagy?

When Does Autophagy Begin In Our Body? This question is most asked, and this topic is very researched. Let's review what we know so far.

Dr. Ana Maria Cuervo, MD, Ph.D notes that macroautophagy starts within 30 minutes to an hour of starvation. When do we starve? In the intermittent fasting of 8-16. The macroautophagy starts within 8 hours if there are no snacks. The chaperon mediated autophagy occurs during the 16 hours. If you keep the 16 hours window including the sleep then the neurons are able to perform autophagy as well.
