I'll Call You Right Back #32 - DJ BattleMonkey Aug 16, 2018

Show notes

This week I sat down with an insane Sneaker Head named Noah Panico. Noah has dedicated every second of his life into work, sneakers, artwork, collecting, music, traveling, learning, and DJ'ing. We sat down at his kitchen table surrounded by BAPE chairs and spoke about how a kid from Ellwood City became DJ BattleMonkey and made a mark in the Music Scene and where his love for sneakers began. I appreciate yinz for coming back and I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did. Thanks for listening.

I'll Call You Right Back #31 - Ralph Martino Aug 09, 2018

Show notes

This week I sat down with the one and only, Ralph Martino. Ralph used to weigh over 300 lbs. That was how I knew him the majority of my life. A fellow Big Dude. Born and Bred in McKeesport. Now having lost over 100 lbs and changing his life for the better he is full of inspiration and motivation. I talk to Ralph about how he grew up, what made him want to drop the weight, gravity, and how he became obsessed with Yoga. Ralph is a "Cool Breeze" with a wealth of wisdom. Listen to what he has to say. I hope you enjoy the episode. Namaste.

I'll Call You Right Back #30 - Big Jerm Aug 02, 2018

Show notes

This week I stopped by ID Labs to talk to Big Jerm. Jerm is a Producer/Engineer from Pittsburgh who's made a name for himself over the last 15 years. He is a staple in the hip hop scene in the city and his catalog of work speaks for itself. I first heard of Jerm years back through my favorite track "Big Jerm Banger" off of B. White & Mayo's mixtape 'The Mon Valley Miracle.' As time went on I started to see his name pop up a lot more on some pretty big tracks from artists like Wiz Khalifa and Mac Miller. I been wanting to talk to him for awhile so I was happy to get the opportunity. We talk about everything from how he got started in music, Skateboarding, Vinyl Records, Timebomb, OneUp Skateshop, 80's Action Movies, Food, and a lot more. Enjoy the episode.

I'll Call You Right Back #29 - Bobby Buckets Jul 26, 2018

Show notes

This week I sat down in The House of Sin with The Legend, Bobby Buckets. Bobby has known me longer than anyone else that has been on the podcast besides my mother. He lived in the same town I did growing up but I didn't know him from the neighborhood. I met him because he was my wrestling coach in 7th & 8th grade. He was this intimidating older kid with full sleeves of tattoos just out of highschool who got to boss around a bunch of middle school kids. I think its safe to say I fucking hated him back then thanks to all the 'Tough Love' but now that I'm older I appreciate him much more. After wrestling I didn't see Bobby for probably 10 years until we ran into each other again at a clothing store called Blasfome that used to be in the Southside of Pittsburgh. Ever since we've seen each other around and kept in touch and I knew he had an endless supply of good stories about traveling and living in Las Vegas and even more funny shit to talk about so I knew I had to get him on the podcast. I had a good time with him and I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I did.

I'll Call You Right Back #27 - DJ Afterthought Jul 19, 2018

Show notes

This week I stopped down ID Labs to talk to Ryan Haynes or more commenly known DJ Afterthought. I fucked up and didn't hit record and noticed 5 minutes in but we made it work. Honestly I had no idea what to expect with Ryan. We had only spoke briefly once but I knew that the dude was making moves. Working with artists like Riff Raff, Wiz Khalifa, PK Delay, Jimmy Wopo, and SOOO MANY MORE you tend to hear about who's really grinding and making a buzz in the city. I always saw him at different shows I went to and he was always involved with all kinds of shit in the city. He told me about how he threw a couple events with Bubba Sparxxx and Ying Yang Twins and created a little Hip Hop Scene in Butler of all places and how he started out in WVU. I enjoyed talking to Ryan. I learned a lot about him that I would have never guessed like his crazy love for hockey and how he coached for a few years. Its always cool to hear about what people in a different time in life. I hope you enjoy the talk we had. PLEASE TAKE A SECOND TO SUBSCRIBE, RATE, REVIEW, AND LEAVE SOME FEEDBACK. I'll Call You Right Back #26 - Ryan Privett Jul 05, 2018

Show notes

This week I sat down with Ryan Privett. Ryan and I have been friends for a very long time and since I can remember some of my favorites conversations we've shared started from movies. He has an insane knowledge of movies and absolutely the biggest movie collection of anyone I know. This podcast is a straight nerd out on movies. We talk movies, movies, and more movies and it was great. Ryan worked as a manager at a movie theatre for awhile and I have always wanted to know what it would be like working there so we talk a lot about that too. I will always love sitting down and having a good talking with him and I look forward to many more.

Show notes

This week I sat down with Sarah McAlee. Sarah has been a practicing Funeral Director for some time now and I had her on to talk to her about everything that involves being a Funeral Director. She has such a passion for her work and I have always wanted to know more about what happens to us after we die.

...and what the life of someone who prepares dead bodies for a living is like. I mean who doesn't, right? This interview is SO GOOD. We talk about everything from comedy, Highschool, Ginger Ale, and of course death. I really appreciate Sarah taking some time out to talk to me about what she does everyday. I'll Call You Right Back #24 - Ashley Corts Jun 21, 2018

Show notes

This week I sat down with Ashley Corts of Black Forge Coffee House. Arguably the MOST Metal Coffee House in all the Land. Its fully equipped with everything you need for your everyday fix of Great People, Pentagrams, Heavy Metal Music, and Incredible Coffee. On top of incredible Locally Sourced Coffee and Pastries Black Forge opens their door to anyone in the community as a creative space for events such as bands, art shows, open mics, or even just to come by and have a cup of their BFCH Dark Roast and get some work done. You will see incredible artwork on the walls from local artists in the city and you might see one of your favorite bands performing at one of their shows. Ashley and her partner Nick are really doing some great things. I loved having her on to talk about where all of this came from and how they made such a unique idea happen. They have worked hard and they have some big news...

They started a Kickstarter to help raise the funds to open a second location for Black Forge will Ashley will tell you all about in our conversation so I hope you enjoy it.

I'll Call You Right Back #23 - Ray Zawodni Jun 14, 2018

Show notes

This week I sat down with an awesome dude. Ray Zawodni is a funny ass Comedian from Pittsburgh who has been doing it for a minute. I knew of him before he knew of me just from being in the comedy world and from the Podcast he hosts called 'No Weeks Notice.' He talks to all different kinds of people about their previous jobs they've had and if they have any good "Fuck You. I Quit." moments. Its hilarious. Definitely check it out. But I knew Ray has been working at comedy for years and you can see he puts in the work so I wanted to get him into 'The Phonebooth' (The name I just came up with for my Studio at my house. Get used to it) But I wanted to get Ray in The Phonebooth to find out where all this came from. I wanted to know what planted that seed when he was younger and how he got into pursuing comedy. Every single person has such an awesome story about how they came to love what they love. Ray and I are definitely similar. I really liked our conversation. He's just a funny dude thats easy to talk to and those are the only ingredients I need to have a good conversation with someone. I hope you enjoy it.
