I'll Call You Right Back #197 - Arie Cole Feb 24, 2022

Show notes

This week, I sit down with DJ and artist, Arie Cole for a talk about life as a full time DJ. I came across Arie from an IG post a couple years ago. It was a video of him standing in his room infront of his setup just absolutely going off. After that, I knew I had to hit him up to see how it all came to be. This week, we talk about everything from the pandemic to Pokémon. Arie Cole even tells a pretty funny story behind the video clip you can see in post that involves ICYRB alumni, Keep Pittsburgh Dope. Another great episode. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Thanks for listening.

I'll Call You Right Back #193 - Valentine Carpentry Jan 27, 2022

Show notes

This week, I sit down for a special 'two person' episode with the husband and wife team behind Valentine Carpentry. Bobby and Jolie Valentine are a force to be reckoned with. Their furniture is my absolute favorite ever and I knew I had to have them in to learn more about their story. I started following their work awhile ago and every single piece they put out is something extremely unique and extremely beautiful. This week we take a dive into their lives. Bobby grew up ripping and tearing on a bmx bike and fell into construction early on. Jolie is an artist who had dreams to be a painter. Years later, they combined their skills to make Valentine Carpentry. I urge you to checkout their work. It is magnificent. I also urge you to listen to our episode. It's also, in fact, magnificent. Enjoy it!

I'll Call You Right Back #192 - Dan McGhee Jan 20, 2022

Show notes

This week, I sit down with Dan McGhee. I want to tell you how I met Dan. I was going to interview Justin Boyd and he lived with Dan at the time. When I walked in I saw Dan sitting in front of an easel painting alongside Bob Ross. I watched Bob Ross a million times growing up but never painted while watching. It's funny because I distinctly remember thinking how watching these made me feel like I could do paintings like him. Long story short, I wanted to interview Dan because he was getting pretty good at painting a funny and unique way. Watching Bob Ross. AND THEN I find out Dan is also a seasoned chef and now executive chef at Wood Fired. That being said, this week we're talking about all of it. Enjoy the episode.
