Grant's Rant: 10-14-22 Thursday Night Farce Oct 14, 2022

Show notes

I'm not sure what's worse, the last two Thursday Night NFL games, or the league releasing a statement defending the roughing the passer penalty on the Chiefs Chris Jones Monday night. What a joke! The NFL needs to get a grip on their league! Embarrassing!

Grant's Rant: 10-13-22 Amazon Prime Embarrassment Oct 13, 2022

Show notes

So let me get this straight. Amazon Prime Video has hired Marshawn Lynch for its Thursday Night Football Coverage? Please tell me that can't be true!!!!! How absolutely insulting! What a disgrace! I guess driving under the influence, allegedly, among other things, is what amazon is looking for when they look for "talent".

Grant's Rant:10-12-22 Raiders Ineptitude Oct 12, 2022

Show notes

Strange how things work. The Raiders lost a heartbreaker to the Chiefs Monday night and all most people are talking about is what happened after the game when Davante Adams shoved a cameraman to the ground while exiting the field. Does anyone want to talk about how the raiders allowed Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce to roam free inside the Red Zone, or Josh McDaniel's bizarre two-point conversion attempt with over four minutes left in the game? Nope...let's talk about what happened after the game. Strange society we live in!

Episode 204: NFL's Social Messaging Hypocrisy Oct 11, 2022

Show notes

On today's episode i talk about the NFL's Social messaging on the field and on back of helmets. Personally, it bothers me. I don't care for it. I have been very consistent about this for a long time. I read an excerpt from the NY Post that Phil Mushnick wrote about NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell and his absurd messaging regarding this topic. I also discuss apologies in sports and how those like Draymond Green wouldn't have to apologize so much if they stopped doing stupid stuff!

Grant's Rant: 10-11-22 Another Black Eye For NFL Oct 11, 2022

Show notes

Another day, another embarrassment for the NFL. This time it was on Monday Night football when referee Carl Cheffers penalized the Chiefs Chris Jones for his sack and fumble recovery on Derek Carr. Ater the game, Cheffers said he was following the rule book. Translation: that is how the league wants us to call roughing the passer. How about some common sense? The league needs to make all roughing the passer flags automatically reviewed beginning for Thursday's game. The league cannot continue to allow what happened last night to continue!

Grant's Rant: 10-10-22 Where is NBA Commish? Oct 10, 2022

Show notes

I am still waiting for NBA Commissioner Adam Silver to make a statement about Draymond Green and his sucker punch against teammate Joran Poole. Of course, I am still waiting for the league to come out and address Green's use of a racial slur directed at former player and ESPN host Kendrick Perkins. I guess I shouldn't hold my breath, eh? What a joke!
