Episode 138: The State Of The Kings Jan 28, 2022

Show notes

The Sacramento Kings are in the midst of another embarrassing season. I start off today's episode with a video DeAaron Fox made on the Player's Tribune back in 2018. The sentiments of Fox have certainly disappeared from the day the video was released. The team is 18-32 and playing uninspired ball on most nights. I also get into the despicable tweets by Kings TV voice Mark Jones made over the weekend regarding Aaron Rodgers. These tweets are in a long line of other unprofessional, embarrassing social media posts made by the also ESPN announcer. Just can't make this stuff up!

Grant's Rant: 1-27-22 Jeff Van Gundy Spot On Jan 27, 2022

Show notes

Yesterday on my YouTube Rant Jeff Van Gundy was walking by and shouted: Grant's Rant". He was doing the Heat-Knicks game last night and made some very interesting points about the Knicks. His comments though seemed to be better suited for the Kings! Thanks Jeff!

Grant's Rant: 1-26-22 Down 60 In Boston???? Jan 26, 2022

Show notes

The Kings played in Boston last night and lost 128-75. The lethargic Kings trailed by as many as 60 points during the rout. How many embarrassing losses is that now for the Kings this season? Too many to count! The Kings feel like they only need to play hard on certain nights. No wonder why so many fans have stopped going to games and stopped watching them on TV. Just pathetic!

Grant's Rant: 1-25-22 Shut Up Tony Romo Jan 25, 2022

Show notes

Tony Romo of CBS gets paid a ton of money. I for one don't understand the infatuation with the guy. He never stops. He doesn't let the game breathe and steps all over the big moments. Sunday night in Kansas City he was nauseating. On the big KC TD's he started talking the second Jim Nantz was done and you couldn't hear one word he was saying....he was just trying to talk over the crowd. Tony, shut up once in a while would you please!!!!!

Episode 137: Winter Olympics And China Jan 25, 2022

Show notes

The 2022 Winter Olympics begin in Beijing next week. There has been increasing backlash towards China regarding the Uyghur genocide and other alleged crimes against humanity. The games will go on, but are too many people turning their head about this? How will NBC cover this as the rightsholder for televising the games. I talk about comments from former NBC host Bob Costas on this topic and others as well. I also discuss a column by Phil Muchnick of the NY Post titled " TV networks, NFL's hypocrisy damaging to racial equality. It was a very interesting column by Mushnick and I discuss the story at length.
