Grant's Rant: 5-27-22 Zip it Luka May 27, 2022

Show notes

The Golden State Warriors are moving on to the NBA Finals. The Dallas Mavericks are done for the year and that means no more Luka Doncic bitching to the refs all the time. No question Luka is a tremendous player, but enough is enough. How many easy baskets did the Warriors score in this series because Luka was late getting back because of arguing with the refs. Enough is enough already! Shut up and play would you please!!!! The guys is too good and to me this takes away from some of his greatness. On another note I am very happy for Klay Thompson. Klay is a top shelf pro and has bounced back from an ACL and Achiles injury. I for one love rooting for players like him!

Grant's Rant: 5-25-22 Stop Banging on the Glass! May 25, 2022

Show notes

What's the deal with fans at NHL games banging on the glass all the time? It looks like they are trying to hit the other team's players in the head. I don't get it. Don't your hands hurt after a while? It goes on in every arena all the time. I have never understood what fans are trying to accomplish by doing that.

Grant's Rant: 5-24-22 Brutal NBA Postseason May 24, 2022

Show notes

Last night in Boston, another awful game between the Celtics and Heat. The game was basically over five minutes into the first quarter. This continues an alarming trend of what we've seen in this year's NBA Playoffs. Is it an aberration, or is because of the way the game is played now? Do teams rely on the three ball too much? Whatever the reason there have been many unwatchable games in this year's playoffs.

Episode168: A Month of Racial Divide May 24, 2022

Show notes

It has not been a good month is the sports world when it comes to racism. Last weel Bronny James, Lebron's son, got lambasted by many for taking a white girl to the prom. The comments on social media were disgusting both towards he and his date. Then two weeks ago Draymond Green accused sports talk show icon Cristopher Russo of being racist. Draymond know considers himself as " The New Media". Let's all pray that doesn't become reality. This past weekend Josh Donaldson called White Sox Shortstop Tim Anderson Jackie. Donaldson claims it was a joke from a SI article in which Anderson referred to himself as 'today's Jackie Robinson". Yesterday Donaldson was suspended for one game by MLB. Also, over the weekend Nazem Kadri of the Colorado Avalanche ran into St. Louis goalie Jordan Binnington. Binnington injured his knee and is out for the rest of the series. Kadri who has a history of dirty plays is a Muslim of Lebanese descent. No penalty was called on the play and after reviewing the play the NHL said no discipline would be forthcoming. Over the past few days Kadri has received numerous threats and racial attacks. The St Louis Police Department has had to put officers in from of the team hotel.
