Grant's Rant: 6-8-22 NBA Finals Ratings Jun 08, 2022

Show notes

What a country! Even the NBA Finals Ratings have become political. If you are on the right the numbers are down because the NBA has gone woke. If you are on the left, it's because of the pandemic and fewer people now watch tv etc. The reality is the numbers are down from 5 , 10, 15 years ago. There are many reasons including the ones aforementioned. I think the games just aren't as compelling due to the three point shot. Look at this year's playoffs. There have been so many bad games. I think the three point shot is the main reason. With that said google NBA Finals ratings. It is as confusing as can be based on the narrative of the publication.

Show notes

A 24th massage therapist has filed suit against Browns QB Deshaun Watson. Innocent until proven guilty yes, but is there anyone that really thinks Watson is being framed by these 24 women? Common sense tells me that Watson is indeed guilty of these allegations. Now the question is how long will Watson be suspended pending the completion of the NFL's investigation?

Episode 172: Cloudy Rainbow in Tampa Jun 07, 2022

Show notes

On today's episode I examine the backlash from the Tampa Bay Rays "Pride Night" this past Saturday. Five players decided not to wear the rainbow patch on their sleeve and rainbow hats. They cited it was a faith-based decision. On this episode I look into what this was really about and some of the criticism that the Rays and players have endured the past few days.

Grant's Rant: 6-6-22 "Pride Night" Backfires On Rays Jun 06, 2022

Show notes

The Tampa Bay Rays had "Pride Night" on Saturday. As part of the celebration, they put rainbow-colored patches on the uniforms. That was not ok with five of the players including pitcher Jason Adam. Adam spoke on behalf of the other four players and said it was a faith-based decision. He also made it very clear he wants people of the LBGTQA+ to "feel safe and welcome here". As you can imagine Adam and the other four players are being attacked by the "woke" mob and has put the Rays in a tough spot. My question is why put the logo on the uniform in the first place?
