Aimee tells us about having to create dialogue in German, what it was like working with the Coen brothers, and whether or not her character gave her toe away willingly. Then, Paul F. Tompkins returns to talk about playing customer service operator Chad in Magnolia. Paul describes his three intense days of shooting the scene which included singing Sade songs with Mary Lynn Rajskub, embarrassing himself at the table read as he sat right next to Tom Cruise, and realizing his only his voice would make the final cut. Plus, Matt and Paul share how the power of the internet lead to them being friends and collaborators as they answer audience questions!

    Gilbert Gottfried is the most wonderful tornado you can ever imagine. He joins Matt this week to talk about his role as Iago the parrot in Disney's Aladdin. Gilbert tells us about the audition process, having to re-record dialogue for the animated series that was deemed too dirty by a viewer, and the remarkable story of how a family reached their autistic son through a puppet of the parrot.     Raiders of the Lost Ark with Martin Casella Jul 04, 2023

This week Jenette Goldstein joins Matt to chat about her portrayal as bad-ass Pvt. Vasquez in Aliens, John Connor’s foster mother in Terminator 2, and Irish Mommy in Titanic. Jenette tells us how she fell into the body building sub-culture in East London prior to being cast as Pvt. Vasquez, what it was like shooting in the huge vat of baby oil for the T-1000 in the lava bath scene, and using her own experience as a mother while putting her children to bed for the last time in Titanic. Plus, we finally lay some deep film score time signature controversy to rest as James Bladon returns in another edition of I Was There Tune.

    Actress P.J. Soles joins Matt this week to talk about her role as Lynda van der Klok in the 1978 John Carpenter classic Halloween. P.J. talks about why the way she said "totally" secured her role in the film, what it's like to shoot a sex & death scene all at once, and her thoughts on her legendary death scene being recreated at Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios. P.J. also tells us her experience working with Bill Murray on Stripes, how she had to wrestle Rod Stewart for the jacket she would use for Rock 'n' Roll High School, and working alongside a very friendly Harrison Ford on the made for TV film The Possessed.
