    Dinosaur of the day Haestasaurus, a sauropod whose arm was originally thought to be from a carnivorous marine reptile.

    Interview with Steve Brusatte, Paleontologist at The University of Edinburgh. Before moving to the UK he spent several years at the American Museum of Natural History. He is also the "resident paleontologist" for BBC's Walking with Dinosaurs and author of the book The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs.

    • A new hadrosauroid, Gobihadros, was described from a complete skeleton and skull
    • A juvenile T. rex is for sale on eBay, stirring up quite a bit of controversy

    Dinosaur of the day Incisivosaurus, a small dinosaur with rodent-like front teeth.

    Interview with Alida Bailleul, who recently described a dinosaur fossil with an unlaid egg clearly in its abdomen. Her research focuses on microscopic structure of dinosaur bone and tissue. She has also studied modern alligators and birds to learn about dinosaur tissue and biomechanics.

    • A new small therizinosaur, Lingyuanosaurus sihedangensis, was discovered with smaller more curved claws than its relative Therizinosaurus
    • “Scotty” the T. rex is now officially the largest Tyrannosaur—and possibly land predator—ever discovered

    • A hadrosaur was found in Montana with marks showing it was probably chewed on by a juvenile T. rex
    • Tracks from the Middle Jurassic of China appear to be the first evidence of quadrupedal theropod walking
    • Several institutions in New Mexico are working together this spring to photograph, scan, map, and model the Clayton Lake Dinosaur Tracksite
    • Dinosaur Journey Museum in Fruita, Colorado, has a new 6ft 4in Apatosaurus femur on display
    • The Natural History Museum at Tring in the UK has a new, free exhibition, that shows off the dinosaurs of the British Isles
    • The U.S. Postal Service is coming out with new T. rex stamps this year

    • In Berkeley New Jersey, there will soon be a new dinosaur outside Sand Castle Diner, to keep Bud the Bayville dinosaur company
    • Publication Studio Games created a fun text based, choose your own adventure game, called A Dinosaur Named David Swims in a Japanese pool
    • You can now buy a toy model version of the Google Chrome T. rex

    • A new baby oviraptorid, Gobiraptor minutus, from Cretaceous Mongolia that may have eaten bivalves
    • The first stegosaur named in Mongolia, Mongolostegus exspectabilis, may be the most recent stegosaur found to date
    • A new article in Nature shows that two-thirds of 3D scan data is not shared online, largely so authors can exclusively use it for future work
    • The Montana House of Representatives passed the bill that says fossils are part of a property’s surface estate, not the mineral estate
    • The National Showcaves Centre for Wales sold a 15ft tall 30 ft long Allosaurus sculpture to make space for new sculptures

    Nodosaurus - Episode 223 Mar 06, 2019

    Dinosaur of the day Nodosaurus, the original member of Nodosauridae (the clade of ankylosaurs without tail clubs).

    Interview with Thomas Hopp, scientist, inventor, lecturer, and author. He’s written a number of short stories and novels, including the science fiction series Dinosaur Wars. He has also proposed that dinosaurs evolved feathers on their hindlimbs to warm their nests.

    In dinosaur news this week:

    • A new American Tyrannosauroid, Moros intrepidus, was about 30 million years younger than T. rex and 1% its size
    • The Irish coast guard were called to recover some T. rex bones which turned out to be a hoax
    • Matt Lamanna, will present “Diving for Dinosaurs: Cretaceous fossils from Croatia” at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History
    • Pismo Beach, California, had a grand re-opening recently for Dinosaur Caves Park
    • In the UK, you can now buy Easter-themed chocolate dinosaurs at both Aldi and Marks & Spencer
    • Metahub posted a list of the best and worst dinosaurs in Jurassic World Alive
