Sam has been a paraplegic wheelchair user since 1992, after being struck by a bullet in Brazil as a teenager. Undeterred by her obstacle, the model and sportswoman continued to work in fashion, fronting brand campaigns, featuring in magazines and modelling collections on the catwalk.
