The Importance of a Personal Brand with Rebecca Coleman Jan 14, 2019
    Show notes

Have you ever struggled with getting behind a brand because you weren’t able to truly connect with the face behind it? Do you feel drawn to a specific brand because of the personable relationships the brand has with its clients? Or maybe you are a personal brand but struggle with connecting with your customers. The truth is, we all strive for connection and real authenticity but it can be so hard to find in an oversaturated market.

Our guest this week, founder of Something Massive creative agency, Rebecca Coleman believes that in order to grow your personal brand, you must first build authentic relationships with your audience. Building a relationship with your customer is extremely vital for growth and success. Not only is it important to connect with your audience, but it is also important to connect with those around you. The strongest influence you have on your brand, business, or service is your network. Sure, it’s important to provide great content but if you aren’t first connecting with the people you work with, your audience will eventually catch on. According to Rebecca, the best thing you can do for your personal brand is to create a human experience with your customers. Instead of putting all of your focus into your product, try focusing on building that connection. Your product or service will set itself.

Women Succeeding in a Male Dominated Industry With Christina Lecuyer Jan 07, 2019
    Show notes

Have you ever been afraid of showing up because of what other people may think of you? Have you ever held back from reaching your greatest potential because you’re afraid of others judging your worth? Odds are, we all have sold ourselves short at some point because we were afraid of what others might say. Being afraid of other people’s judgment isn’t limited to just men or just women. We all tend to put a halt on our greatness in order to fit into someone else’s mold. But, we weren’t meant to be what someone else thinks we should be.

Our guest this week, professional athlete and golf competitor, Christina Lecuyer believes that we all have something to share. We shouldn’t be afraid of what other people think of us because whatever we look like or whatever we do in life, these things don’t define our worth. What defines our worth and our success is the willingness of showing. If we aren’t showing up as our true selves and working towards our true purposes in life, we are robbing ourselves and the people we are called to reach. Christiana tells us to show up and own our greatness. The human movement relies on us showing up as who we are, one step at a time.

    Topics Discussed:

    • How women can feel confident in business while working in a male-dominated society.
    • How showing up every day allows you to step into your true calling
    • How to be more confident in life and business.
    • How to own your greatness.
    • How to overcome doubt.

100 New Things to Try with Dominika Hanc Jan 02, 2019
    Show notes

When was the last time you tried something new?

As an adult, it's super easy to get caught up in “all that there is to do” and be SO focused on tasks that we don't actually enjoy life anymore. Even if you are like me and LOVE your work, it can be easy to burn out and lose sight of why you started in the first place.

This week I interviewed Dominika Hanc founder of 100 New Things to Try and we talk about the importance of making time to try new things and allow playback in our lives. We also talk about how to overcome feeling overwhelmed when there seems to be pressure to perform and achieve and how introducing new activities into our lives can actually enrich our personal life and work.

    Topics covered:

▪️ How to overcome the masks we feel pressured to wear.

▪️ How to come up with ideas of new things to try.

▪️ How to overcome the fear of doing new things (no matter what others may think)

How to Be a Better Speaker with Sally Zimney Dec 19, 2018
    Show notes

Imagine speaking in front of a thousand people for the first time. You practiced your speech over a dozen times but the moment you walk across that stage, you freeze. Your palms are sweaty, you can feel your heart beat fast, and your hands are slightly shaking. What you’re feeling is the adrenaline rush kicking in. You may start to feel awkward and uncomfortable at first, but that’s not a bad thing! There is power in embracing who you are and honing in on the art of telling your story.

Our guest this week, Sally Zimney, presentation coach, speaker, and host at This Moved Me podcast, believes in the power of storytelling. Sally believes that your audience wants to connect with you, the vulnerable, raw, and real you. Being nervous is a completely normal human trait, everyone gets nervous about the things that are most important to them. When we embrace who we are and hone in on our storytelling, our audience won’t care if we forgot part of our routine. Our audience want to trust us and empathize with us. The moment we realize that it’s less about perfection and more about connection, the more people understand who we are.
