Homeschooling IRL | Parenting & homeschooling — unfiltered.

Homeschooling in real life — the messy, funny, faith-filled truth about raising and teaching your kids. Hosts Fletch and Kendra Fletcher pull back the curtain on what homeschooling and parenting actually look like day to day: the wins, the meltdowns, the questions that keep you up at night, and the conversations most parents are afraid to have out loud. Every episode brings honest talk, plenty of laughs, and practical encouragement — often with a favorite guest — on everything from curriculum and burnout to marriage, faith, and the hard stuff: talking to your kids about sex, screens, growing up, and keeping your sanity along the way. If you’re homeschooling from a Christian worldview and you’re tired of the highlight reel, pull up a chair. You’re among friends who get it. Honest, evergreen conversations for every season of the homeschool journey. Part of the Ultimate Homeschool Podcast Network.

When My Convictions Aren’t Your Convictions – HIRL Episode 94 Mar 14, 2016
    Show notes

    HIRL-Episode-94

Homeschooling. Health food. Small church. Mom stays home. KJV only. Dresses. Youth group. Public school. No TV. Our convictions, or the things we strongly about, can drive so much of our lives and end up being the choices by which we define ourselves. They can bring like-minded believers together and set the tone for our families and homes.

But what happens when your convictions are different than mine? As soon as you discover that we don’t have the same non-negotiables in our home as you do in yours, is it a deal-killer?

What does it look like to love other Christians in our community who hold to different standards but agree that Jesus is everything? Can we love each other well, for the sake of the gospel?

During our interview, we not only define what spiritual abuse is, but we warn the listener how to look for the “red flags” of abuse in any movement or organization. We finish our discussion talking about how to escape an abusive situation and what you should do as you begin to heal from abuse.

What Is Homeschooling In Real Life? – HIRL Episode 88 Feb 01, 2016
    Show notes

Free homeschool podcast about living a real life. The season break is over! We are kicking things off with an episode that answers the question: Just what is Homeschooling in Real Life? We have noticed over the years that new listeners come to our show wanting us to answer practical questions about homeschooling. Once they listen to an episode, most of our listeners realize that we are not your “typical show” about homeschooling, so we’ve dedicated this entire episode to reintroduce ourselves to old listeners and remind new listeners who we are.

Join us as we reverse the microphones and invite John Wilkerson (The Wired Homeschool Podcast) into the studio to interview us about who we are, what we think about homeschooling and why we started this podcast. As always, you will be surprise at what we say!
