Bonus Episode 2-3 30th Anniversary Release Bonus Features Review Nov 01, 2016

Show notes

The Rewatchers take on the second disc of the Highlander 30th Anniversary DVD to talk special features, director commentary, German documentaries, and incomprehensible accents. Take a listen for fascinating tidbits about Sean Connery's antics on set, the rise and fall the Sky Cam, and Russel Mulcahy's opus starring a murderous boar- Razorback.

2-19 Legacy Oct 25, 2016

Show notes

After Amanda's immortal mentor Rebecca is dispatched by a former student with a righteous voice and penchant for self-flagellation, Amanda and Mac must team up (sort of) to avenge her death. The Rewatchers do their best Hansen impressions, enjoy Amanda's origin story, and revel in some exploding hay bails.

Bonus Episode 2-2 30th Anniversary Review Oct 18, 2016

Show notes

In this special bonus episode, Keith and Eamon discuss the new Highlander 30th Anniversary DVD (disc one!) ad nauseum. The Rewatchers dish on DVD menus, salute slipcases and gab about graphic design. They also gather some older versions of the home video release to compare and discover “Lucky Strike means fine tobacco.”

2-18 Pharaoh's Daughter Oct 11, 2016

Show notes

After Dunan rescues a sexy mummy from an evil museum curator (yup), he must teach her the 20th century ropes while preventing her from assaulting pollice officers or exacting bloody revenge against the Roman Empire. This is not a drill. The Rewatchers are joined by Special guest Liz from the Foxes in the Henhouse Podcast to get creeped out by Maurice, discuss the finer points of mummification, and cower in fear of a dustbuster. 2-17 Warmonger Oct 04, 2016

Show notes

When immortal agent of chaos Drake (who Mac promised not to kill in order to save his post WWI squeeze) orchestrates a coup in an ambiguous Eastern European nation, Duncan must break that ancient promise to rescue the second (third?) coming of Randi McFarland. The Rewatchers do the Monster Mash, struggle to unpack everyone's accent, and dive deep into the moral implications of immortal promises.

2-16 The Vampire Sep 27, 2016

Show notes

Long after the eminently punchable immortal (lil' Nicky Ward) terrorized Victorian-era Paris by pretending to be a vampire, Duncan must ruin his baby-faced rival's wedding before it's too late. The Rewatchers tease the crap out of Nicholas Ward, cringe at the sound of a brutal steaking, and bro out with Joe.

2-15 Unholy Alliance - Part 2 Sep 20, 2016

Show notes

In the exciting conclusion of this memorable two-parter, Duncan returns to Paris on a wild hunch about fish eggs and manages to bag his two greatest rivals in the process. The Rewatchers use the power of ducking to avoid all bullets, try to guess the going rate for caviar, and share mixed thoughts about the show's very drunk and very French new comic relief, named Maurice.

2-14 Unholy Alliance: Part 1 Sep 13, 2016

Show notes

In one of the most iconic arcs of season two, Xavier St. Cloud and the villainous Horton team up to unleash their secret weapon, dudes with machine guns, on unsuspecting immortals like Mac. The Rewatchers argue about how pronounce Xavier (Za-vee-A?), consider the skills of your average black ops team, and get deep into the rules of the game.
