Deep Dive: It Ends With Us, Part 10 - Justin Baldoni's Amended Lawsuit and Timeline Feb 04, 2025

Show notes

A review of the amended lawsuit and a partial review of the 168 page timeline with new receipts that Justin Baldoni's legal team dropped via website. New information and details about what went on behind the scenes during production, like firing staff members for allegedly thinking Blake should be replaced, texts between Ryan Reynolds and Justin, and more texts between Justin and his Wayfarer cohorts about how to handle situations. The next dive will hopefully complete that timeline review and then we'll get into how Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds have acted during production as well as how they've publicly responded to the legal battle.

BONUS: A warning about woman hating propaganda pushers latching onto this scandal

Deep Dive: It Ends With Us, Part 8 - Sexual Harassment Allegations and Responses Jan 28, 2025

Show notes

Now that Justin Baldoni filed his countersuit against Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Leslie Sloane and her PR firm, I cross referenced his own allegations and explanations against her original complaint to see what claims have and haven't been addressed. While a few things seem to have been negated, the majority remain unanswered or left to interpretation of two differing perceptions. This pod focuses solely on her claim, and his defense, of sexual harassment while working on the movie. Upcoming pods will delve into the accusation that Blake's goal was ultimate creative control of the movie and the rights to its sequel, along with the PR scandal over personal text messages and confidential communications being leaked and allegedly cherry picked for misinterpretation.

Recap: RHOSLC Season 5, Reunion Part 1 (Uncensored & Extended) Jan 25, 2025

Show notes

Let's end a hellish week by recapping Part 1 of the Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 5 Reunion. The topics hit hard and fast when they start coming but most don't get to a full resolution before things devolve into yelling and nonsense. Still, Andy manages to ask about: if Whitney gets her jewelry from ALIBABAAAHHH, the status of Angie and Lisa in light of the "bad mom" comment, where Bronwyn and Lisa stand considering a startling rumor Lisa mentioned on the Bravo Aftershow, and Heather's new "meaner" side. Then we end with the husbands getting into it as we prepare for Part 2. BONUS: learning more about Whitney's jewelry website

Recap and A Rant: RHOBH S14E8 - A Perfect Storm Out, and Dealing with Fascism Fight or Flight Jan 23, 2025

Show notes

What better way to decompress from a week of chaos and unrest than to watch a woman with more Birkins than sense dramatically lament a situation she created? How dare people take issue with Kyle seemingly pledging loyalty to a friend's estranged husband? All that while continuing to refer to herself as a "girl's girl" makes for quite the journey into madness. Thankfully, Dorit 2.0 continues to reject BS like last season's shoes, Boze has a beautiful backyard AND Dorit's back, Erika placates both sides while leaning towards her clique roots, and Sutton, Garcelle, and Jennifer Tilly keep themselves sane while bringing us comedic relief. BONUS: A new wave of social media censorship and warnings, the danger of people eager to placate and ignore pivotal moments in history, and where you can find me on the scale of tolerance for hate groups - spoiler, my level is named Aldo Raine

Movie Reviews and a Rant: The Substance, Martha, and the TikTok Ban That Wasn't Jan 20, 2025

Show notes

On MLK Day, in a mad world, lets talk about two women-centered films. Final thoughts of the 'Martha' documentary on Netflix and then Demi Moore's stellar performance in 'The Substance', as well as the lessons we can glean from both. Also, hold my hand as I rant about the much hyped TikTok ban that wasn't and worrisome censorship that appears to be popping up across social media platforms.

Recap: SLC Finale SE16 - When All Is Said and Done (Uncensored and Extended Episode) Jan 16, 2025

Show notes

This extended version of the episode was truly a hilling experience. I laughed, I cried, I critiqued. Breaking the fourth wall, throwing flowers, nip slips, cheap wigs, walk-offs, wild allegations, and claims of stagnant sales for Wild Rose - the finale has it ALL. This episode could provide an entire season's worth of content for other RH franchises. It's a journey of friendship, conflict, loyalty, and betrayal.

Recaps and a TikTok Rant: RHOBH S14 E6 and E7 - Viper Room and a Pity Pizza Party Jan 15, 2025

Show notes

After a measured rant on the tragedy that is the American government catering to the whims of a bug eyed bro with $8M to spend on lobbying to get his way, we recap two episodes of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. In episode six, Dorit confronts Kyle about her innocent meme laden texts with PK, Kyle doubles down on the silliness of her caring after not caring previously and the innocent nature of the texts. Then in episode 7, Kyle reads a text she sent to PK and the ladies realize it's more than memes....meanwhile Garcelle celebrates her beach house and family, Sutton is still on the outs with Dorit and plans a pizza party for Erika, Boze introduces us to her man and weathers surgery, all while the former head of EJ Global works with a celebrity designer to refurnish her casita.

Recap: RHOSLC S5E15 - Smile, You're Being Recorded Jan 11, 2025

Show notes

Another iconic Real Housewives of Salt Lake City episode that solidifies the sprinter van as THE best of all possible filming locations on any franchise. Nothing brings a divided group together like a common enemy, and that enemy swinging and missing on every excuse, accusation, and attempt to fight back makes for a legendarily cringe experience. Up against a new foe, Meredith is in rare form and slips into paranoia, Heather vacillates between emotional support and lecturing, Lisa feels betrayed, Mary seems satisfied, Bronwyn brings solid one-liners, Angie is the Queen of see-something-say-something and serves as a voice of reason, while Whitney shows compassion despite her anger. BONUS: A rant on Jen Aydin popping off at Jersey Mike's and my zero tolerance for idiots using the devastation of the CA wildfires to mock diversity within the Fire Department

Movie Review and Rant: I finally watched 'It Ends With Us' Jan 08, 2025

Show notes

It finally happened, I watched the movie that spurned all the lawsuits and drama - and I have thoughts. A review the rom-dramedy? in the spirit of Mystery Science Theater 3000 and thoughts and research into the various distracting derelict lewks and random designer labels. From the acting to the dialogue, and the plot to the set design, the creative choices were all noticed and noted. BONUS: A newly released voicemail from Justin Baldoni, plus the internet reminded me about some Deadpool director drama that sounds familiar
