Idaho Murders: Internet Called Him WHAT First? Jul 20, 2026
    Show notes

This episode is about two theories the University of Idaho murders never seem to shake, and Tony Brueski walks through both, live, on the Kohberger case. The first cost an innocent man his reputation before anyone had a name for the killer. The second is still circulating despite a guilty plea.
Before Bryan Kohberger's arrest, the internet had already picked a suspect, a young man who'd just lost someone he loved and made the mistake of calling her phone too many times that morning, for reasons that turn out to be completely innocent once investigators laid them out. We cover why the surviving roommates' delayed 911 call doesn't mean what people assume, what their private writings actually reveal, the theory that they were spared because they were involved, and why a judge dismissed the internet's alternate suspects as rank speculation.
Then we turn to the sheath conspiracy. Kohberger's DNA on that knife sheath wasn't a faint trace, according to the lab, it was hundreds of times more genetic material than a typical case involves, which the lab itself has stated on the record. We go through the unidentified blood found in the house, the DNA mixture under a victim's fingernails that didn't match him, the buried hair claims, the accusation that genetic genealogy was hidden from the court, and the Amazon order for the exact knife style used.
No clear motive doesn't mean wrong man, and a guilty plea layered on top of DNA, phone data, car evidence, and scanner activity looks nothing like the wrongful plea cases people compare it to. We break down why fixated strangers remain dangerous even without a motive anyone can neatly explain.

    D4vd Told Deputies WHAT About A 13-Year-Old? Jul 19, 2026
    Show notes

A thirteen-year-old went missing three times, and two different sheriff's departments still couldn't stop what happened to her. Tony Brueski walks through the entire D4vd case for Hidden Killers Live, from the welfare check nobody escalated to the charges that followed.
Celeste Rivas Hernandez disappeared from Lake Elsinore three times in early 2024 before her parents' reports led Riverside County deputies to musician David Burke's phone number. LA County deputies handled the welfare check at his West Hollywood home, where Burke pulled up a yearbook photo and said he barely knew her. Deputies confirmed her age and runaway status to his face, then left, closing out a report that should have triggered far more scrutiny than it did.
According to prosecutors, that's when things accelerated. Burke allegedly paid a classmate of Celeste's a thousand dollars to deliver her a new phone so the two could keep talking. Over the year that followed, prosecutors say she traveled with him across the country and overseas, met his family, got matching tattoos, and wore his name on her ring finger while still in middle school.
The unsettling part doesn't end there. D4vd's most successful song, the album it came from, and the persona built around both all mirror what prosecutors now allege happened inside a Hollywood Hills home. Seven months passed between the discovery of Celeste's remains and Burke's eventual arrest, during which three grand jury panels convened, a friend of Burke's fled to Montana to avoid testifying, and his family fought the grand jury process in Texas.
Burke is now charged with first-degree murder with special circumstances, including lying in wait, murder for financial gain, and murder of a witness. That financial gain allegation ties the charges directly to Burke's career and public image.

Why Elizabeth Siders Still Might Walk Free Jul 19, 2026
    Show notes

Sixteen children lived invisible for eighteen years, and their mother is now the one in the defendant's chair. Tony Brueski sits down with Robin and defense attorney Eric Faddis to unpack the Siders case, starting with the question nobody in this courtroom seems able to answer cleanly: is Elizabeth Siders a perpetrator, a victim, or both.
Married at fifteen to Gary Siders Junior in West Virginia, she gave birth to all sixteen children found crammed into a twelve-by-twelve room, a space investigators say wasn't built to hold more than a handful of people. Faddis, a former prosecutor, explains what her attorney's argument means for the sixteen felony counts against her, and why that argument alone could change how the entire prosecution has to build its case.
It's not the only unanswered question in this case. A Vinton County judge signed a gag order covering the Attorney General's office, the sheriff, and the prosecutor, at the request of the very man whose indecent exposure warrant is why anyone found those children at all. Five years earlier, Gallia County Juvenile Court had already filed six truancy complaints on this family, documenting that six children had missed an entire school year, before closing every case when the family couldn't be located. Nobody escalated it. Nobody called children's services.
Gary Siders Senior, seventy-three, faces sixteen felony counts of his own and is out on a recognizance bond after his attorney filed five competency motions. Ohio has approved a million dollars in emergency funding just to handle the fallout in one county, after officials on scene described conditions inside that house as worse than how livestock are kept.
We break down the charges, the silence, and the eighteen years no one caught.

What Nancy Guthrie's Hoaxer Actually Got Jul 19, 2026
    Show notes

A woman is still missing, and the man who tortured her family with a fake ransom scheme just got a sentence that fits in a headline: probation. Tony Brueski lays out what happened to the person behind the bogus bitcoin ransom notes sent to the Guthrie family, and why a retired FBI agent is calling the outcome a disgrace.
The charge was knocked down to harassment. The sentence was five years of probation, all counts running concurrently instead of stacked on top of each other. Retired special agent Jennifer Coffindaffer says the light punishment risks emboldening the wave of copycats already flooding investigators, a group now referred to inside the Bureau as the TMZ Twelve.
There's more sitting underneath that plea deal than one bad sentence. An original ransom note demanded four million dollars with an escalating threat attached. A second letter, stranger still, went only to local television stations, apologizing and calling Nancy's death an accident. Both were reportedly linked to the same IP address, one of the only solid threads investigators have. And Porch Guy, a person tied to the case, remains unidentified.
Meanwhile, the search itself keeps producing contradictions. Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos has been dodging questions about his own record, at one point telling a reporter to enjoy his hit piece. The FBI and the Sheriff's Department can't settle who's actually leading the investigation, and a retired agent says there's genuine disagreement inside the Bureau about whether certain pieces of evidence are even legitimate.
Kash Patel added his own layer of confusion, telling a podcast audience his agents were locked out for days, while one of his own special agents was already standing beside Sheriff Nanos at a press conference, a fueled plane waiting in the background.
Nancy Guthrie is still out there. Nobody has answered for it.

Siders Kids Stayed Hidden By Doing WHAT?! Jul 19, 2026
    Show notes

A house in Hamden, Ohio held sixteen children the State of Ohio didn't know it had. That's where this one starts, and it doesn't get easier from there.
Deputies in Vinton County weren't hunting for kids the day they knocked. They were serving a warrant on something unrelated, and the state's own Attorney General has said outright that nobody walked in expecting to find children. No school district had these kids on record. No neighbor had ever flagged them. The oldest is eighteen years old and, per investigators, still can't write her own name — a detail that says everything about how long this went unnoticed.
Tony spends real time on what happened around that house, not just inside it. Store clerks noticed years of small warning signs and only put the pieces together once arrests hit the news. One neighbor, living seventy feet away, insists he never saw a single child there in six years — and probably means it. A psychotherapist explains the specific psychological wiring that lets people witness something wrong and file it under someone else's problem, again and again, without ever registering the choice.
Four adults are facing sixteen counts each of second-degree felony child endangering. Each has pleaded not guilty. No indictment has been handed up.
Then the episode zooms out to the system itself — a mandated-reporter law with no real enforcement, a funding formula that pays states for taking children but nothing for finding them, and a parallel case in Washington, D.C. that shows this failure isn't confined to one small county.
The kids were found. The system that was supposed to find them wasn't the reason why.

Siders 16 Kids: Why One Teen Still Couldn't Do WHAT?! Jul 19, 2026
    Show notes

An eighteen-year-old connected to the Siders case can't do something most children master before kindergarten. Not neglect in the ordinary sense — total isolation from birth, in a house that sixteen children never really left. And a town of seven hundred that insists it never picked up on any of it.

Tony and Robin open with the gap that defines this case: total silence before the arrests, followed by a Dollar General employee who could suddenly recall years of specific detail — clothing, hygiene, the family's late-night shopping habits — the moment cameras showed up. A neighbor claims six years without seeing a single child. Delivery drivers who regularly crossed paths with the oldest son noticed nothing alarming. The Attorney General cites deliberate record-avoidance by the family, which checks out — but hiding twenty people takes a town willing to look the other way.

From there, psychotherapist Shavaun Scott breaks down what that isolation did developmentally. She challenges the AG's "almost feral" description and explains what it actually obscures. Several of the sixteen children don't speak conventionally, and Scott describes what tends to form between isolated siblings who've had only each other for communication, sometimes for years. None of them knew their situation was abnormal — it was simply the world they had. Scott brings up the Turpin case as the clearest warning: freedom and national attention didn't stop several of those thirteen kids from ending up homeless or in unsafe placements.

A town's silence and a house's damage — Tony and Robin connect the two.

Charlie Kirk Case: Judge Made The Prosecutor Pay WHAT? Jul 18, 2026
    Show notes

Tyler Robinson confessed. He turned himself in. His DNA is on the murder weapon. This should be the most straightforward death-penalty case Utah has faced in years — and the prosecution nearly handed it away. The deputy county attorney leading the case gave a TMZ interview discussing the strength of the evidence, violating the court's own pretrial publicity order. A judge didn't just admonish him — he held him in civil contempt. The defense asked the court to strip the death penalty as a sanction. The judge refused, but he still expanded the jury pool and ordered the prosecution to pay the defense's legal fees, a ruling that shadows every hearing still ahead.

That's not the only thread in this episode. A theory has spread claiming Robinson isn't the actual killer — that someone else pulled the trigger and is still walking free. Tony tests both major versions directly against the record: a confession note found under Robinson's own keyboard, DNA recovered from the rifle, engraved casings matched to a tool in his home, and a surveillance trail that follows him onto campus and into the woods where the weapon surfaced. He also answers the anomalies that keep the theory alive — missing rooftop casings, a second bullet in a nearby building, the ATF's inability to match the fatal round to the rifle.

This isn't ridicule. The questions are reasonable given how chaotic the case's first hours were. But the answers hold up, and the detail that damages the conspiracy most isn't forensic — it's something Robinson's own defense attorney did over five days of hearings with his client's life on the line. Tony ties the prosecutor's blunder and the conspiracy fight together in one sitting.

Nolan Wells' Phone Showed His Mother WHAT?! Jul 18, 2026
    Show notes

Nolan Wells documented his whole life through his phone, so when his mother finally opened it after his death, whatever stared back at her became one of the questions this case can't seem to shake. Tonight's live breaks down the Nolan Wells timeline exactly as it stands — not the internet's version.

The 18-year-old football player from Ocean Springs, Mississippi went out to Horn Island with friends on the Fourth of July. He never made it back. His body surfaced in the water two days later, and the people who were there don't agree on what happened before that. A young woman says Nolan told her he was returning to the boat. His friends say he told them he was staying on the island with her. One of those statements is wrong, and nobody's explained which.

The sheriff ruled out foul play before the autopsy, toxicology, or digital evidence had been processed. The family flew Nolan's body out of state for a second opinion — a move that tells you they weren't satisfied. A viral video treated online as proof turned out to be something entirely different. Messages allegedly deleted from the phone are now in FBI hands, and with roughly two hundred people on a barrier island with no cameras or cell service, the entire case may come down to footage from strangers who haven't come forward yet.

Tony, Robin, and the live audience work through the contradictions, the phone, and the questions officials tried to shut down early — together, in real time.

Siders Family: A Judge Approved WHAT At Age 15?! Jul 18, 2026
    Show notes

Before there were sixteen children in a five-room house on Ohmer Street, there was one fifteen-year-old girl and a judge's signature on a marriage license — because Ohio, at the time, set no minimum age for marriage at all. That girl grew up to be Elizabeth Siders, and she's now one of four adults facing sixty-eight felony counts of child endangerment out of Hamden, Ohio.

The case broke open when Vinton County deputies arrived to serve a misdemeanor warrant and instead found sixteen kids living in the house, several of whom couldn't speak or read and had never been enrolled in a school. The Attorney General called it "pure evil." The sheriff said livestock gets treated better. And the AG's use of the word intrafamilial hints this story isn't finished being told.

Here's the part worth sitting with live: every one of those sixteen children was born in a hospital. One roughly every thirteen months, for eighteen years straight. Not one nurse or doctor said a word. Ohio gutted its homeschool oversight in 2023, which meant no school ever came looking for kids who didn't exist on paper. The state that let a fifteen-year-old get married with a judge's blessing is the same state that then lost track of her children for two decades.

Tony's taking this one live — the marriage law, the hospital pattern, the oversight gap, and the four adults now facing charges — and opening the floor for the audience to weigh in on the question nobody's answered yet: was Elizabeth Siders the first victim in that house, or one of the people responsible for it?

Nolan Wells' Friends Wiped WHAT Right After He Vanished?! Jul 18, 2026
    Show notes

There's a version of the Nolan Wells case where three friends panic, make a bad call, and everything else is just grief and bad luck. And there's the version where a wiped phone, a lawyered-up friend group, and a boat nobody's bothered to inspect start to look like something else entirely. Nolan went out to Horn Island for the Fourth of July with three friends; only three came back. His phone eventually surfaced at the boat owner's house — Snapchat wiped on it, no phone call to his mother letting her know it had turned up. The friends' story is that Nolan wanted to stay behind for a girl. The girl's story doesn't match. The stated reason the boat left him behind — that it was taking on water — has never been independently checked, because as far as anyone can tell, the boat itself has never been examined by investigators at all. Nolan's own best friend, who was there that day, says he's never even been contacted. A Jackson County judge's stepson was on that boat too. The Coast Guard got a call at 11 PM and decided it wasn't urgent. Two days and a failed search later, Nolan was found face down in the water, right where he was last seen alive. His parents ordered their own autopsy rather than take Mississippi's word for it. Hundreds have marched in Ocean Springs. The funeral needs an arena. And the sheriff's answer to all of it, so far, is that his office won't be rushed — which is a strange thing to say about evidence with an expiration date.
