Charles Lear: UFO People Jul 24, 2025

Show notes

Hello my dudes and dudettes! This week on the show we have on Charles Lear. Charles is an actor, and a bonafide UFO history buff. Charles has written a new book entitled The Flying Saucer Investigators, which is a sequel to his first volume. I thoroughly enjoyed this sweet offering, which is chalk full of great cases, stories and tons of amazing incites to the wild folks who have dedicated their lives to this exciting topic. Charles was kind of enough to let me cherry pick some of the incredible stories from his book, and let us dive deep into the UFOlogical waters. I hope you all enjoy it!

Greg Bishop: UFO Buddies Jul 16, 2025

Show notes

Hey there, friends! This week my guest is my good pal, and very first guest, Greg Bishop! Greg has been one of my favorite thinkers in the world of the weird for about 15 years now. Not only that, he's also a great buddy of mine. Greg and I share many of the same interests: UFOs, cooking, weird Los Angeles...all of which we get deeply into on this episode. If you haven't already, PLEASE check out Greg's incredible podcast Radio Misterioso. It's literally my favorite podcast covering these Fortean topics. Also...Greg's books are must haves on any Fortean's bookshelf. High recommend! I hope you enjoy it! Peace.

Kevin Cann: Platonic Surrealism Jul 10, 2025

Show notes

Hey friends! This week my guest is the brilliant Kevin Cann! I first learned about Kevin from Jeffrey Kripal's book, How To Think Impossibly. I then bumped into Kevin's incredible Facebook group, Platonic Surrealism, which immediately wow'd me. Kevin is a next level thinker when it comes to the topics we discuss right here on this show, and I think he's one of the few people I know of who's really trying (and succeeding) in taking UFOs and the nature of reality further down the proverbial field. This was such a fun discussion for me. Kevin is brilliant, but he's also and incredibly kind, and sweet man. What a pleasure it was to get to chat with him. Enjoy!

Joshua Cutchin: Fourth Wall Phantoms Jun 25, 2025

Show notes

Holy moly, how is everyone? Great to hear! This week, my guest is my good buddy and brilliant author, Joshua Cutchin! I'm a massive fan of every book he's written, and he has really outdone himself with his newest offering, Fourth Wall Phantoms. Josh and I have a deep discussion about his latest book, without spoiling anything (I promise!). We get into the concept of fictional incursions, the non-physicality of the UFO phenomenon, and why we might just need better stories. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this book so much. I truly can't recommend it enough, my friends. If you were to read one Fortean book this year, this is the one. That's a Bergantee! Enjoy!

Bradley Plaisier: Preserving the Past and Other Assorted Tales Jun 12, 2025

Show notes

Hey buds! This week my guest is Bradley Plaisier! Bradley is a true head, and an extremely knowledgeable cat on UFO history, and a lover of gnomes. We get into some of his UFO experiences, the preservation of rare documents, weird Michigan and much more. Bradley was kind of enough to provide some show notes, and links to some of the subjects we cover. What a nice guy! I loved chatting with him so much - he's a kindred spirit. Enjoy, friends!

Here’s all of the Marcello Truzzi material I’ve scanned so far. (Any additional Truzzi stuff I scan will be added to this folder. )

Truzzi’s excellent essay in The Fringes of Reason, “Skeptics and Pseudo-skeptics”.

I mentioned that Passport To Magonia was a very formative book for me. Here’s a few more: Franz Hartmann’s Among The Gnomes, Books of Blood (Vol. 1-6) by Clive Barker, Killing Hope by William Blum and, of course, Mirage Men by Mark Pilkington.

I am begging you, beautiful listener, to please explore The Professor’s wonderful old blog, The Big Study…

And while you’re at it, do yourself a favor and follow my pal @oddoldnews on Twitter and/or subscribe to his substack.

Morgan Nalley: Spooky Kid/Spooky Adult Jun 05, 2025

Show notes

Hey Friends - This week, my guest is comedian/actor, Morgan Nalley! Morgan is a hilarious, and awesome human being. She's had an interest in the strange and unusual since she was a kid, and that interest doesn't seem to have wanned one iota (did I just type the word iota? I did!) We get into her childhood interest, comedy, her recent trip to Rome, and some compelling paranormal experiences she's had in her adult years. Morgan is such a gem - I hope you all enjoy!
