Tate Hieronymus: Bigfoot'n in the USA May 23, 2024

Show notes

Howdy there, pals. This week I have on Tate Hieronymus, a real deal bigfoot field investigator and documentarian. His dedication to learning more about this illusive creature has lead him all over the Pacific Northwest, Florida, Iowa and more. We discuss his methodology, techniques, and overall thoughts on what bigfoot is and represents. It's not often I get to speak with someone legitimately getting their proverbial boots dirty in an effort to learn more about bigfoot, so this was such a blast for me. I hope you all enjoy it too!
Love, Steve

Bovine Buckeroos: Emily Louise and Rob Kristoffersen May 10, 2024

Show notes

Good gracious sakes, its baby's first round table show, with the great Emily Louise and Rob "Bust-a-bookshelf" Kristoffersen. Emily and Rob are two of my favorite buddies I've met since starting this show, and on this episode we focus on the cattle mutilation phenomenon. We hover around the Dulce beginnings for mute cases, and widen into the 1970s/80s wild west UFO scene, and all the wild characters associated with it. As always, I learned so much from these two geniuses. I had so much fun with this one, and I hope you do too!

Show notes

Hey there sisters and brothers! My guest this week is the wonderful Ashley Hilt! Ashely is a Fortean investigator/researcher with an impressive in-depth knowledge of high strange activity. Ashley is also fascinated by her home state of Ohio, and is doing a helluva job investigating, and preserving the rich history of the unusual there. She's also the host of the fantastic podcast ON WEDNESDAYS WE TALK WEIRD! I also would like to thank Ashely for her patience with my technical shortcomings. She was beyond patient with me! I hope you all enjoy this one as much as I did! Peace, my friends.

Mark Pilkington: UF-OH NO! Apr 18, 2024

Show notes

Holy smokes, Mark Pilkington is my guest this week! Like many folks interested in UFOs, his wildly important book Mirage Men was a paradigm shifter for me, so this was a biggie for the Hi, Strangeness Pod. Obviously, we discuss Mirage Men (how could you not?), but we also get into his incredible publishing company Strange Attractor, his music, Strange Attractor Press's Austin Osmond Spare Tarot Deck, and other assorted angular goodness. I can't recommend visiting the Strange Attractor Press's website enough to peruse all the wonderful offerings. Oh, and one more thing..please do check his music (links below). I love it so much! I hope you all enjoy this interview as much as I did!

Tanner F Boyle: Gulf Breezin' in the USA! Apr 03, 2024

Show notes

Well well welly well, somehow I was able to convince the wonderful Tanner F Boyle to be my guest this week to discuss a few subjects from his beautiful Substack: Getting Spooked! Tanner is a brilliant researcher/writer who takes a para-political angle on UFOs and the paranormal, and seriously folks, I just can't recommend it enough. On this episode, we break down a few of his pieces - The Gulf Breeze 6, St, a Kansas doomsday/UFO cult, and the sus nature of the Indrid Cold affair. I learned so much chatting with him, and I hope you all get a few new insights on some of these older cases and events. Thank you so much for listening!

Wren Collier: Art, The Occult and Deep Patience Mar 14, 2024

Show notes

My guest this week is good buddy Wren Collier! Wren is one of my favorite minds in the world of the weird. He's also one of the most interesting human beings you'll ever meet. From his magical practice, to his vegetable garden, Wren knows what it means to have patience, and to enjoy the process. Every single time I get the chance to listen to him, or speak with him myself, I always learn something extremely valuable. I hope you all do too!

Jamie Chadd: Weird Nebraska Mar 07, 2024

Show notes

Ooooooohhhhh yeah my guest this week is fellow weird Nebraska enthusiast, Jamie Chadd! Jamie is the greatest historian of weird Nebraska in this era, and we jam on tales of UFOs, cryptids, true crime, ghosts and a ton more. Jamie is also fighting the good fight against corporate ghost tour companies (LAME!) - she has been giving the best ghost tours Eastern Nebraska has ever seen and they are trying to move into our turf to muck up the works. Not on our watch, people! Jamie also has a wonderful paranormal themed boutique called The Benson BOOtique, which is just the coolest store ever. If and when you find yourself in Omaha, you must come by her store and say hi. She's just the best!
